WILL DISHOOM BE 2016?S 4TH 100 CRORE GROSSER?

Rohit Dhawan?s first film Desi Boyz was strictly okay but it made it clear that the debutant director knows his craft well. Hence, despite the underperformance of Desi Boyz at the box office, Rohit was seen as a director to reckon with. Therefore, it was no surprise when Sajid Nadiadwala gave him the responsibility to helm Dishoom, a big budget action adventure. The film stars Rohit?s brother Varun Dhawan along with John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez. Moreover, there?s also Akshaye Khanna who returns to the big screen after 4 ½ years.

The trailer is quite entertaining and the film looks like a rich, classy product. The action scenes seem incredible and would be enjoyed a lot on the big screen. Songs have caught attention, especially Sau Tarah Ke. Both Varun and John look great and their bromance would be something to look forward to. One of the most exciting aspects of the film is its plot ? it?s about a cricketer who gets kidnapped 48 hours before a crucial match and how two young and dashing cops are out to get the player back and the kidnapper behind bars. With such a unique storyline, exciting cast and grand scale, Dishoom has a lot going in its favour.

But the hype sadly is moderate. Hence, a huge opening is ruled out. This might not be a cause of worry for the makers especially if the film turns out to be a nice entertainer and word of mouth is positive. Day 2 and 3 can be super-huge if WOM is positive. And then it has 2 clear weeks till the release of Mohenjo Daro and Rustom. Hence, if Dishoom is accepted and has the required massy touch, it can have a great run at the box office and also turn out to be the 4th 100 crore grosser of the year!
