KATRINA KAIF IS A LUCKY MASCOT!
The verdict’s is out. Zoya Akhtar’s Zindagi Na Milegi Dobarahas turned out to be one of the hits of 2011. The film is doing nice business in Week 2 inspite of competition from Singham. It has helped the entire cast to consolidate their position especially it’s leading lady Katrina Kaif. Believe it or not, this is her sixth hit in a row and this is a huge feat!
Post-Yuvvraaj (the last flop that she gave almost 3 years back), she was seen in New York which was a surprise hit and first hit of 2009. She rocked the show with Ranbir in Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahaniwhich surprised everyone with its terrific collections. Couple of weeks down, she was seen amongst dozens of actors in De Dana Dan, a film that wasn’t a huge a hit but nevertheless profitable to its makers. Her first release in 2010, Raajneeti, turned out to be one of the biggest hits of the year where she was seen in a powerful role. And lastly came Tees Maar Khan, the only film that got her maximum thrashing! However, the hype and 3-day business of the film was very huge and no wonder the film made a healthy profit. In between, she was seen in Blue in special appearance which she did as a friendly gesture.
Katrina’s detractors always argue that she can’t speak Hindi properly. Yes, it’s true but one should not overlook the fact that she’s trying her best to perfect the language. She puts in maximum efforts and strives to give her hundred percent in every shot. Her association with Salman Khan did help her bag some roles but after a point, it was entirely her choice of films that made her the top star today. Except in Tees Maar Khan, she has always signed films with a nice script and which provided her with a meatier role. Also appreciable is the manner in which she handled personal problems, especially herbreak up. She never denied it and at the same time, she didn’t create a scene out of it. In fact, not once have I seen her b*tch or crib. Everyone knows this very well and hence, when desperate journos want to cook up fake stories, they have no choice but to just link her up with co-stars as no one’s going to believe stories of Katrina fighting with actors!
Katrina’s upcoming films are Mere Brother Ki Dulhan (Imran Khan), Ek Tha Tiger (Salman)and untitledYash Chopra film starringShah Rukh Khan. With so many consecutive hits, I can safely say that these 3 films will surely entertain viewers! Best of luck to her and may she keeps delivering hits after hits!

3 SMALL FILMS TO RELEASE TOMORROW!
The holy month of Ramzan starts in a few days. This means, no biggies till the end of August (except Aarakshan). Hence, following 3 small-budget films release tomorrow.
BUBBLE GUM: Seems like a cute entertainer from the promos. Good word of mouth is what can help the film
KHAP: First film to be made on honour killings committed by Khap Panchayats. Hype is sadly zero and will be going unnoticed.
