I was really proud to become owner of Roland Juno G, as it was perfectly matching my needs in my music profession. It has a powerful Fantom X quality sound engine with 128-voice polyphony, a very effective and easy to use Audio/MIDI multitrack recorder with mixer, sound expander slot, USB connectivity for editing softwares and data transfer etc. The Infrared D Beam controller added a magical capacity to live playing also. I thought this is my dream machine.All my amusements stopped when the display started rolling and started to vibrate in short while. But I did not take it that seriously due to the faith in Roland products. I have used many Roland products before also like SPD20 rhythm pads, XP60 Keyboards etc. I was doubting my power supply, amplifiers etc for this behavior and never doubted my Juno G. By this time, the warranty period also was over. Shortly after that, the LCD went blank. I became panicky and started searching for a solution and shocked to see internet and youtube getting flooded with same behavior of Juno-G Display lcd screens. When contacted, Roland US confirmed that these keyboards were released in market with faulty lcd display units.It is unbelievable that such a cute and costly product escaped all Roland QC checks and came in market with such inferior LCD display units which would misbehave and slowly break down in one or two years! To add to the misery, though the manufacturer acknowledge that these Juno-Gs came with defective LCD displays, Indian Distributor at Mumbai says (Rivera Digitec (India) Pvt. Ltd) there is no provision to this corrected though US is still doing it for the customers free of cost.Now Roland has come up with a new version Juno G called Juno Gi - Hope this time the display is alright till some one writes a review on this.
