Hyundai has finally unveiled its much awaited compact sedan based on the grand i10. The car has been named Hyundai Xcent. With the Xcent, the company has made its foray into the compact Sedan segment which is currently dominated by the Swift Dzire and the Honda Amaze.
The Xcent will be offered in two variants, in petrol and diesel and with both automatic and manual transmission. The feature and characteristic highlights include swept back smoked headlamps and chrome insert, a steeply raked windshield for better light accessibility and driver view, diamond cut alloy wheels, chrome door handles. The interiors have black and beige dual tone skin and is equipped, rear a/c vents, best in class boot space and spacious interiors.
It also has smart key with pus, rear parking camera with sensors, 2 DIN audio with USB and a CD player with 1 GB internal memory, electric one touch open boot-lid. The car also comes with a host of safety features like ABS, dual air bags, rear defogger and central locking. Analyst claim that the car will be priced at around 5.3 lakhs and will go on sale by March 2014.
