I came across this chap recently while I was touring Karanataka. His name is Mr.Veerabhadra and he hails from Chitradurga- A town on the Banagalore-Bombay Highway.He showed his new invention.This is a LPG Kit which can run Bikes.Yes our normal Bikes.He says he invented this in the year 2002-03.With the help of one Prasad from the Govt.Dept.[a very rare case of a Govt Official helping without Moolah !] he applied for a Patent.Now,after six years he just got his Patent.
As per the Inventor, this device gives a mileage of 100KM to any Moped.I guess this is because a Moped would be normally a 50-80 CC Engine.For a Bike-a 250-350 CC Engine the mileage would be around 70-80.This is per 1 Kg Cylinder whch costs about 35/-.It brings down your cost by almost 50%. Ofcourse a kit would cost around 5,000/-.a one time investment.But the poor chap cannot manage to get something out of his patent unless some business house steps in and converts his invention commercially. Ofcourse,He is willing to sell his invention.He seemed to me as a humble,nice sort of chap adn I wish him all the best. Rural India Inventiing & Shining !
