Kids Will Pester You for Buying Useless Stuff

Kids items are kept such that they are visible to them at their 'height' level. Like 'jam like' toothpastes, Colour tubes like 'jam tubes', biscuits with Free Cartoon stickers etc. Kids don't want these items for their sake but for the extra stuff that comes along with these items. They will pester you for these.

That Extra Little Stuff While You Check Out

Thses are kept to tittilate your senses particularly the taste buds. Just ‘munch-on’ or ‘chew’ types things. Kids are sure to make your life miserable here. It would be a good idea to leave kids home if you can!

Heavy Promotion Items Everywhere

A new ‘Chips or Shampoo’ brand would be visible almost in every section of the Store, at every nook and corner so that your eyes can’t miss it. This is the thing they want to sell you badly. High margin stuff for them! Not necessarily a good product. They bombard your sub-conscious brain with buy buy-one try messages. So don’t blame yourself if you pick up one of these just to ‘try out’. You have just fallen victim to their clever strategy.

Got Charged Twice??

If you are using Debit or Credit Card, you need to make sure that your card hasn’t been charged twice. You really hate it when they keep swiping your card multiple times for payment. Don’t you?

So You Thought that Old Newspapers Could Sell for Rs. 30/kg?

Big Bazaar in particular will often come with such cheap gimmicks like they buy your old clothes, newspapers, tyres etc. at unbelievably high prices. Understand the gimmick. They make you transport your old stuff to them. They don’t give you money. You get coupons. Then you have to buy 5 or 10 times of coupon value to redeem. Happy Selling…..or Buying!

A Usual Trick

There is a gimmick called guaranteed low price etc. An item like Onion or some such other thing of mass usage is priced very low. People RUSH thinking everything is low. They get ripped off on other purchases.

Stinking Stuff?

Abroad they don’t sell you rotting stuff. But here in Big Bazaar, they happily do. Rotting vegetables and fruits are a common sight.

Impersonal

BB type stores shopping don’t offer you the personal touch of a local street kiryana shop (maybe at a little premium). Isn’t it a good idea sometime to help your local small shops for vegetables, fruits, and some other minor stuff? Think it over.
