NOTE: My blog have a few stories which I observed near my neighbourhood, friends and some friend's friend family. It will be too rude for me to reveal their real names, but something I really don’t understand about this ‘happily ever after’ term and what it actually means? So I started writing about these small stories.

In my childhood, I always loved listening to fairy-tales from my father. I remembered him telling tales of Cinderella, Rupunzel and many others. The handsome prince comes from some wonder land to rescue the girl, they fall in love, and then they get married and lived happily ever after…' I grew up on this diet of ‘happily ever after’ stories, only to find that I did not really know the meaning of ‘happily ever after’. None of these tales described that! What is this ‘happily ever after' thing they talk about? Don’t really know what it feels like to be constantly happy-do we? The mind throws up a million questions! And then I started observing the people around me to actually find out the answers to the term ‘happily ever after'.

My neighbour Zubeida, who got married five years back to an electrician and have three kids. After all these years her husband realized that he doesn’t love her anymore.

Every night they fight like mad bulls. Each night he come home drinking, fight till the dawn and then whole day he sleep. No work, No money, No moral support from anybody and yet the lady has to run her family with the kids. Is this what we call happily married life? I doubt.

My good friend Tony, he is the only son of his parents; he enjoys lavish life with no tension about his tomorrow. One day he suddenly spoke to me about his personal life.

His dad lives in South Africa and mom in Dubai. Since his birth the two have left the country and never have return back. He stays with his grandparents here. As he was says a thought ran in my mind, can they be term as a good husband and wife? And if yes, can they be called as happily married couple? I doubt

My friend Sandra, a happy-go jolly type of person, who tries to take the things sportingly as it comes in her life. She fell in love with a guy from our college. The two went on for a very strong relationship for almost four years and finally one day decided to get married. Both the families willingly accepted the marriage and the duo live happily. Until one day Sandra returned to her mother’s house crying, unknown to the reason what happen in her life. A happy kinda person now stays in a lost world, thinking of her good times with that guy. Whatever the reason would be? Is this what we call happily married partners? I doubt.

There are many examples to tell, and I can go on and on telling the stories that I see around me. The doubt about the happily married life goes on increasing day by day. Till the time I find this couple, probably somewhere in their mid 70's at Ambernath Railway station. My eyes were fixed on them, as they walk hand-in-hand in station, irrespectable of the world watching them. I decided to follow them as they kept walking till they reached near a ladies compartment. The old man then gave his hand to the lady and helped her to get into the compartment. The lady was standing at the door step while he waited outside. The announcement was heard, that the train on platform 2 will leave in sometime. Listening to this the lady got down from the train, gave a final embraced to her man, and again went in the compartment.

This small incident was so touching and made me realized that marriages are fixed in heaven but, only some experience hell. If you trust your partner and love them wholeheartedly, there will be no pain and suffering in your marriage life. There will be no place for misunderstand to stand between the two people.
