An eye-opening 1949 TV commercial from Camel cigarettes. Makes you wonder about the products doctors are shilling for in the present day, doesn’t it?

The most important thing you need to notice is that after mentioning all the body parts(which does not include the lungs, the heart and the liver) the doctors is shown writing that "In my opinion". This maybe off topic but this ad's a good example to show how opinion is not the truth and you should never believe or have "opinions" about health and science, It should be only facts.(this is the add https://youtube.com/watch?v=UyhvHB62ph8 please watch it, I am sorry only 1 add got posted in the diary)

Opinions is a very misleading term which allows a person to maintain something that is completely opposite to the truth. American has been taught long before this that "everybody is entitled to their own opinion". And then they used opinion instead of science and facts to brainwash the American public to accept whatever agenda they wanted. The sad part is that India is catching up and whenever you tell something like MSG is bad for health, I actually have got the answer that "keep your opinions to yourself" or "in my opinion moderation is the key". First of all MSG being bad for health is not my opinions but something which has been mentioned in more than 3000 research papers.

Opinion became the crutch of spin doctors of the media. If you said Bush is wrong in sending troops to Iraq. They say that "in their opinion" they feel it was the right thing to at that time.(which is not the case, Iraq did not WMD's and the crimes that Saddam Hussein had committed on humanity(Kurds) was during the time he was friends with USA and just after massacring thousand of kurds he received around 4billions dollars in Aid).

Someone had said “The world is not run by thought, nor by imagination, but by opinion”.

Infact Jack K

Many people feel that my distrust for doctors is not valid or justified, they feel like doctors are next to god, who "cure" you. Yes they do, there were doctors like that maybe there still are. But they are never famous. they are not winning awards and they have no place in the medical fraternity.

After watching this ad you can see history repeating itself and it even more prevalent now.

The biggest mistakes that doctors are doing right now is they just treat everything from cancer to a normal fever with dangerous medicines without ever acknowledging that there is an underlying cause for any disease.

Indirectly they are misinforming us that pesticides, food additives and chemicals(like MSG and aspartame) have absolutely no adverse reaction on our body

In fact the cellular phone threat may be the closest analogy to the tobacco issue in contemporary medicine. Although physicians are not going on TV promoting cell phones, their deafening silence on this important health threat speaks very loudly about their awareness of this health risk.

Similarly, in the west they have frightened people into avoiding sunlight to avoid skin cancer, and in so doing have raised the risk of numerous chronic diseases in these people because many are now deficient in vitamin D.

The list goes on.

You might ask me If doctors and the mainstream media are not trustworthy then who can you trust when it comes to your health?

The answer is no one, I am sure we all agree that the world is not an honest place anymore so when people themselves are ready to do anything for money nowadays how can you be so sure that the medical field is immune.

Therefore I encourage you to not blindly trust anyone, even me. Your health is too important. Dig a little bit deeper and you may find what appeared trustworthy on the surface may not be so right after all, especially if it came from a source deeply entrenched in the conventional medical system’s often flawed way of thinking.

A few examples, vitamins can kill you!, water does not play a significant role in your health and well being,(sorry I had debunked all these ridiculous studies but I lost what I typed when I saved the this post, I had crossed the character limit, this is bad If there was a warning I would saved in notepad and atleast pasted it in the comments but now all's lost so I'll end it here)

Personally, when I find out a new piece of information, health-related or otherwise, the first place I look to is the source. If it’s biased and there are conflicts of interest present, I take the information with a grain of salt, and sometimes discard it entirely. Remember that even well-accepted health “truths” can turn out to be wrong, and those that are ridiculed can be right.

So keep an open mind and, be conscious, be your own judge when it comes to deciding what’s best for your health.
