Logged into MS after several weeks today. Saw that every page on MS (including Inbox and Profile page) is showing a huge Smirnoff advertisement right in the middle of the screen. It cannot be closed by clicking on "Close" icon. You just have to wait for it to go away (takes 5 seconds at least). And the worst part is that it comes on every single page (and even if you refresh the same page).
This has made browsing the site very difficult and irritating also. I understand that advertising is necessary, but there are limits to everything. It's not like unlimited advertising will lead to unlimited profits. Beyond a limit, it destroys the reputation and goodwill of a product.
SET Max is a perfect example of how the fun of watching cricket has been ruined by mindless and excessive advertising.
Hope MS understands this and fixes its ads before ads drive away the very people who make MS what it is - its readers!!! Remember, the ads will be there only till the readers are. No readers, and the ads will vanish faster than a politician after elections!
