As we grow up, we are taught about bringing good marks in the class that would eventually lead to success, we are related to our country and we seek recourse to praise it and never leave it. All a part of growing up - well known. But here I would like to insist on something. As we are told about the opportunities within the country, there should an awareness spread about opportunities that are abroad. We are never trained to do it unless you are seeking USA for higher studies or stay in Kerala where gulf is the extension to its land.
We must spread this thought which is all right I understand: If you happen to be very bright you can get a plum post in US or leading countries, but, there are other opportunities abroad that can bring you laurels at whichever level you desire. As we are a globalized world we must spread this in all economic sections of people. And if people have the requisite skills can apply anywhere in the world.
So many people living abroad from India have found that after living in other countries there are less problems financially and it opens the doors for future in terms of opportunity.
Therefore I would request people to be nativist in their hearts but at the same time are told about opportunities of foreign countries right from the time it matters.
I know the outside world can absorb only that much but, is it right that we don’t involve everyone and not let foreign country option be a part of his or her psyche.
There can be a basic criteria that one needs: 7 years of experience to go abroad, but is it common that people are aware of this fact that after seven or eight years when they are eligible, or when they have the skills a good life awaits them. My only problem is that it is not common. I think it should be known to every one that an option exists.
These discussions are always held in closed groups but not a freewheeling option. I consider that this should be spread all across. And ones willingness must not be considered as going far from our country but, as a global citizen, we are enhancing the choices that we have.
