A Cat Named "Budha"

By: trailblazer_sarat | Posted Mar 04, 2008 | General | 341 Views

This is my first diary entry, an entry which is being written on a sad note. Most of us love to have pets and once we have one we put all our love and care towards them. We make them part of our lives and when finally they depart us its very painful. A pain which can be understood only by those who have pets. For the rest all this seems to be a funny affair where they consider these people sensitive and incapable of living in this world. At the same time feel themselves to be brave for not being sensitive. My Cat named "Budha" which means  "Old" died a few hours ago. Though its named so it is 6 months old, a very young age fo a  kitten to die. The death of Budha could be accepted but why and how it died is where lies a lot of pain.

I am no doctor and I can't explain its death in medical terminology, but the Veterinary Surgeon to whom I took it even failed to come up with a proper reason for its death. My city has the district Veterinary Headquarter Hospital with more than 50 people working. The surgeon to my ghastly surprise was afraid of Cats and even denied of holding it to diagonise its illness. Probably he didnot understand my anxiety and pain or may be as most of the people say I am too sensitive. I brought it back with a few prescribed pills and a packet of glucose which I administered and then the rest of all what I could do is to watch it slowly dying with pain and suffering. I lost my lovable Budha, I will never see him again. May god bless its soul. And sorry for being sensitive.........
