I recently got pure leather seat covers, steering wheels, door pads, and neck pillows done for my Honda Jazz from Pensee Leathers located in Kanakpura road, Bangalore. First and foremost, I am really very happy with the quality of materials used and the professional way in which Pensee people...Read more

Well. I wrote too many good things about Honda Jazz in my post "Purely My Thoughts." Hold on. I still say the same things for the car. Unfortunately, this time around, I would not say the same thing for Honda and its petty Honda dealers. with specific reference to Dakshin Honda, Hosur Road, Bang...Read more

In the reviewer's case it definitely is an envy than pride... unless he already drives a Merc or BMW (in which case his observations are justified)

continued... 5. Drivability... I love driving it. I drove frm bangalore to mysore almost continuously for 6-7 hours (where I stopped only twice - once for lunch and once for breakfast). At the end of the drive, no I was not fatigued; I was not tired. I was home n made a nice tea :) In terms of dr...iving, this car is sheer pleasure be it city or highway. 6. First service - I dont feel much of a difference after the first service. The car seems to be as smooth as it was before the servicing. No major change in mileage. Only thing that I have observed is a slight noise from the right side rear tyre. But I am not sure if this was there earlier too. I will get this checked (already have put up my concern in the feedback call). Another major concern is the lack of availability of fog lamps and basic accessory like mud flaps even after a month. I was expecting them to be available around the time I go for first service... unfortunately its not and its damn expensive. Something I have bothred every person who has called me about feedback on Honda :) :) One thing I must say is the attention you get while you drive around (and this may be becuase in Bangalore the number of Jazz is less). There are several forms of attention. There are people who appreciate and look at the car; there are people who would drive past you so fast that if you are a decent person you would feel intimidated n if you are a rash person your adrenaline would flow and force you to just go behind the person and see him fade away in your rear view mirror (n as I understand this car, you can do that quite easily if you know how to put the right gears at the right time); there are people who simply mock at you and do so so very obviously so that you know about it; I dont know the intention but to me it seemed like he was trying hard to pick up a fight on a slight mistake of mine... however the incident made me even more cautiousRead More

Update after first service... I got first servicing of my Jazz done last week and since then had been thinking of putting down the latest thats going on in my head :) Hope you bear it well. Hmmm... I have driven the car for 1400 km in the past 28 days and the only thing that I can say is that... I love every bit of the experience. Let me first cover the details of what I have observed till date: 1. Driving quality is splendid... 'Jazz car feels underpowered ' you bet it is not. You will never feel it to be underpowered if you are a person who drives sanely and are not in a hurry to reach your destination every time you are in the driver's seat. Yes it is sluggish at times... i.e. when I stop at a signal in third gear and try to move the car from stop without changing the gear. The car does so but at a very gentle and slow pace... n to me that is sluggishness (I am no auto buff). 2. Mileage... car's auto calculation shows my mileage to be hovering between 14.2-15.5 but I have not done a manual calculation yet so I will not comment on how accurate the auto calcuation is. Yes on my drive to Mysore and back the figure was somewhere around 17 but I do not remember the figure exactly. 3. Ride quality... overall very pleasing. I hate to take the car in potholes but that is inevitable. Smaller bumps and potholes dont matter much but when there is a bad patch I feel that there is slight roughness... I am not sure if the car behaves otherwise or its me who feels that the drive is rough... (if you plan to buy the Jazz suggest you take a td and make your own judgement) 4. Low ground clearance... This is one of my greatest concerns. Yes in Bangalore a slightly higher ground clearance would have helped. It really hurts to feel the bottom of the car scrape on huge bumpers (there is one such in BTM layout n I just wish it disappears one fine day)... Most other speed breakers are manageable but then caution is the word when speed breakers are in the vicinity.Read More

Hi Nipun... Thanks for your comment and your efforts to put down what BBC has to write about Honda pricing. In one of the posts you wrote 'Buy i 20 instead , having alloys/6airbags/wider wheels. Why risk your life for just brand image?' Well... I am not sure how to react to your comment but I wi...ll definitely try to respond. First, I have plonked 9Lacs in Honda Jazz and I am extremely happy to do so. And why should I buy an i20? Just because it has curtain airbags? 90% of times i drive alone and how are those 5 extra airbags going to help me? Well what safety are you talking about? By your logic several cars that dont offer airbags should then be banned... right? I dont see a reason why an I20? To me that looks ordinary, to me it looks plain, to me it looks just another car... Next you and people like you would talk about features available in I20... I ask who are you guys to advise me to buy an i20 just coz it has some features that are not there in Jazz. I dont mean to be rude... I say this coz I have steering controls in Jazz n hardly use it. So ultimately for me using features is more important than just having them just for the sake of having them. Fine i pay a lesser price and get more features... but no I would prefer to buy a Jazz than an i20... n i would repeat this 'mistake' again and again coz for me there is not a single hatchback that can match the sheer charisma that Jazz has to offer. Though I hate boasting but I feel I should say this... Just drive a Jazz around the town and you will know what I mean. Drive any other car and tell me if you get the same looks (of envy, of hate, of appreciation, of jealousy, of trying to be ignorant of your presence beside)... for me its all the way Jazz. and it will be so... despite what the proponents of i20 n punto or ritz or any other car have to say (obviously without any disrespect to the cars or the people who love these cars).Read More

Hi Mukkavil... you are absolutely correct that some of the features are missing in Jazz. For some they may be very important, for some they may be lesser important. In my case, I dont none of them seemed to be a priority (though I did wish my new car to have allow wheels... and maybe I would go for ...that in future when I can afford) but all those thoughts evaporated after visiting honda showroom and driving Jazz twice. For me VFM became my satisfaction. Most of the things that I was looking for I found in this car. And I still repeat... none of the other cars appealed me so much as the Jazz did - be it Grande Punto, Ritz, I20. And another point that I would like to mentino is that I have never liked any sedan, including Honda City. Low height cars with tails have never attracted my attention. For me Jazz completely serves the purpose. But we need to wait a while and see what is my satisfaction level after owning the car and using it in day to day life.Read More

Till now, I had been reading almost every review and comment made about honda Jazz. Though I had a test drive of the car approximately 15 days ago, but I chose not to write my first impressions of the car on any of the sites. I was enjoying the comments made by people and was absorbing them each...Read more
