Hi doctor82 , Interesting comments there...Let me try and explain my point of view: How is ICICI dishonest? have you bothered to read the contract that you sign? do you know the charges that are applicable to you? if not go ahead and read the fine print. Government baking? what kind? thats... a discovery for me. I haven't heard government supporting a bank unless its on verge of collapse! Actually don't think there is even a penny coming from government of India treasury to balance sheet of SBT. Trust and respect: I am not talking about favoritism. you will get same treatment in the bank as me. I specifically mention i maintain only minimum balance there- so most likely i am smallest customer out there. The point is that some banks start from assumption that you are out to cheat them and then you have to prove that you have no such intention. Some banks just assume you are honest until proven otherwise- some start from an opposite assumption. Its a matter of burden of proof. Knowledgeable: You are talking of changes... thats funny! In call centers , that you happily call, they have even sentences fixed. So if you call a travel agent for a honeymoon booking the first thing the call center employee will ask how many are going! Point is simple : Those who don't know cant be helpful. Best ATM network: This has become irrelevant now. However, thats a privileged service that you are talking about- not applicable to all customers. Superior process: Ever tried depositing cash? did that on line? Amazing technology then. As far as i know if you have a banking relationship you got to visit the bank quite often for one thing or another. Finally: of course its a matter of preference. That i have already pointed out in my review. So no more comment is need there.Read More

hahaha!! you made a big mistake by banking with icici bank in the first place my dear friend. havent reviews before signing up for their credit card? or done some goole search? you are lucky to have paid such a small price. people have been kidnaaped and driven to suicide for such mistakes!

QAB is just that- quarterly average balance. its calculated by adding the end of day balance for all the ninety days and then dviding it by ninety. If its less than the required amount then God save you because these banks are known to employ sales agents who lie about the method of calculation and ...fine for AQB when opening a new account. I think there should be a compulsary declaration required by RBI that reflects all the charges in honest and transparent manner.Read More

Hey it is these types of reviews which inspired me to open an account with icici direct. However what i went through with their customer care is a horror story. Read my whole review later and really ask yourself- dont we deserve a better service? shoudnt you edit your review to reflect the truth?

Thanks Ambujk for your apt comment. Yeah they are expert at generating SR numbers, that i am realizing only now as i have dozens of service request numbers from them but not even a single ' service'. I have mailed to helpdesk with cc to all the mail ids you have given. Instead of writting all over a...gain, i have just directed them to this review. Though, honestly i dont think its going to work. I think they are much more thick skinned then it might appear to those who have never been trapped in their 'service request' cycle.Read More
