My driver was conned by ICICI , vehicle loan. Review on ICICI Bank

Please do not take  a vehicle finance with ICICI . If your are really concerned about your money outflow. My poor driver bought a bike on Icici finanace and has been promptly paying . One day he told me to go along with him (he cannot read or know the procedures )to close the account. He said he had to pay only 4200 Rs to close it as there were only 2 installments pending.We walked in to the bank in Basavangudi , Bangalore. THe lady sitting on the other side of the counter was extremely rude and to the horror of my Driver informed him that he has to pay 12100 to close the account.

This poor guy almost had a heart attack. He was just looking around to see so many customers screaming at so many individuals of the bank . He does not have any means and so I intervened. So the lady told me that I cannot as I am not the account holder and she needs an authorisation letter signed by the account holder. I had to sit and write the letter in the meantime she attended to more customer ( maybe dealaying tactics).Then finally it was my turn. Can you imagine the delimma when you want to close an account with a bank and you are asked to wait forever.??

I asked for  a statement ad you wont believe what I saw. There is a debit for 250 rs on the same day (17/01/06 ) and not onece but 5 times without explaiantion.again I had to wait in the queue to get to the same woman who was of course getting blown up by some of the customers .and she said she cannot help us and we have to talk to somebody else . and the on the poor driver is still running from pillar to post to sort this out .what does a helpless poor man do  if he does not know half of the procedusre and cant read english ? I have been trying to sort it out for hima but I dod nothave the time that I would like to spend on it . ...
