Just to correct some of the information communicated in this message. The Indians in Dubai are not immigrants or citizens they are workers with temporary residence permits. They come to Dubai on Visit Visas and start looking for work. The majority of Indians are living illegally in the country, they... accept low salaries, which could reach half of the market going rate because they DO NOT WANT TO GO BACK TO INDIA. They bring with them bad driving habits and low standards of living, topped with corrupt methods of doing business, for the majority of Indians Dubai is heaven.
Today the UAE has a major problem with the Indian people the UAE did not invite the Indians to its country as immigrants with permanent residence the Indians have imposed themselves on UAE. Business people realize that by hiring an Indian for half the price of an Arab or Western expatriate they are saving on overheads, which is extremely logical from a business stand point, and that is what the Indians are offering. Today the government has a problem of 1.3 millions Indian population who have exploited the job market, and the government is taking measures to correct this situation.
Needless to say, that the Indian in Dubai speak only Hindi they can live in an Arab country for years still they are not willing to learn Arabic which is the native and official language in the UAE. The average UAE national on the other hand speaks English, Arabic and Hindi.
The Indians do not want to evolve with fashion and avoid mixing or mingling with the Arabs or the English. They are a very poor purchasing power, they work in the country and transfer all their income to India, and they live as five families in one apartment, and keep their children in schools back in India. Therefore, they are not helping the economy to grow and they are not doing the UAE any favors.
