This is a rip-roaring homage to the serial short films of Buster Crab, Flash Gordon, and all those Saturday Morning films that folks from my generation went to. Believe it or not, I used to go to the local movie theaters Saturday mornings, and for 6 Pepsi Bottle caps and .50 cents was admitte...Read more

I may try to think too much, and a be little sadomasochistic, but I sat down to watch Nora Ephron’s remake of the TV show “Bewitched”, decidedly determined to not like it, but was magically taken over by the way the director and her assembled cast including Nicole Kidman, Michael Caine, Will Far...Read more

This spray has a goodly amount of bleach in it. You can smell it when you spray the stuff onto any surface. The bottle is equipped with a spray pump, so no aerosol gas is used- better for the environment. The actual pump is fairly large so you can use two fingers- if you have a lot of cleanin...Read more

I’ve been using Ivory Soap all my life really because it’s the soap that was given to me when I was too young to really know, and today it’s because it is a basic soap that leaves little residue but also because it has a pureness that other soaps don’t have. I’m not sure if it is as they clai...Read more

You take an easy position on Kazan and his politics of the day. I agree that Brando is near perfect in this film- shows you what a great actor can do when working with an equally great director. For my money this film and 'The Godfather' are the 2 Brando masterpieces, along with 'One-Eyed Jacks' a...s a close third. The Waterfront DVD is really very enlightening, and the print is excellent... ya know I think I'll watch it again tonight. Let's talk together you and me- seems like we see things the same way...Read More

Clever, quotable, and funny David Mamet's dialogue is loved by performers because of its literate substance. ''State and Main'' like ''Day for Night'' is a look on the inside of the very crazy business of putting together a film and there are some real funny gems in this flic. Mamet's charact...Read more
