I too had a problem with one of the Airtel dealers. My father has been using post-paid service. Since he is retired & spends his time at home, I only pay his mobile bills. There is a payment option of giving your credit card no. & expiry date with signature and amount on the payment slip & Airtel ta...kes the amount.
When I submitted this slip with one of the dealers in Chennai and asked for an acknowledgement, he simply refused to give an acknowledgment saying only for cash payments & direct swiping of credit cards at the centre will acknowledgment be given. I requested & tried to explain him; and he would not listen. The next time I went, again the same problem happened and this time it went upto a quarrel, but still he did not give an acknowledgment. I was trying to tell if the slip was lost, how can I claim having made the payment in time?
Then, I went to their website 'Grievances/Complaints' section & wrote to them on this, and they replied back saying acknowledgment will be provided. The next time I went to the dealer, I showed him the copy of the mail and from then on, he is providing the acknowledgment.
I suggest you also do that - instead of writing to customer care, try writing to the e-mail id given under 'Grievances / Complaints' section.Read More
