@naveenangels, storm_rider , you guys seem like the jealous ppl who can't afford this marvelous bike and want to give it a bad name....lol..get one and see .you are the guys who stop an R15er to enquire about mileage and maybe test ride and when u dont get it you get pissed and badmouth.some guys ju...st keep drooling over bhp's their entire life then complain about bike's bad mileage and rising petrol prices ........bloody whiners(u should be ashamed to be guys)....If yamaha gives u a 300cc bike with 45 bhp and a pricetag of Rs3,45,000 and a mileage of 20 kmpl would you be happy and still buy it to show off ????and the best part is you will have to pay atleast Rs1,20,000 as down payment howzzzzat ..still can u own it???and u talk about ninja's and other bikes in forums .......i say own one and then say.Read More

@ juby, i am here with a clarification as you demanded, yes my review was based on Bike India's review of R15 july month ..but the sole purpose of reproducing it here was to help the future buyers make buying decision and let other people know about this bike's features who do not have access to Bik...e india's latest edition as we are approaching august( i myself got the july edition late) and secondly i took the pain to type it in it's true form and did not edit it to hog all praises and yeah i had mentioned in my original review that go grab the latest july edition of bike india but when i wanted to write a new review on r15 it just got edited and overwritten with the new stuff and i never cross checked it(human error).........so i believe i have made my point, thanks anyways for pointing it out.Read More

Hi AryaNisha, thanks for your comment on my review.....well to be frank power is a good thing to have , and a lil bit extra power in the bike won't hurt and btw when i mean remapping the ECU it takes care of the overall process of the engine , u can control which mode u wanna ride in economical, powe...r or cruise mode. it's a smart box under u r bike's seat or wherever they are gonna put it which with the help of microprocessors take care of the rest.Being a power bike i was never concerned about its mileage currently it gives me 55 kmpl and after remapping may give 45-50 but it dosen't matter. The current tires are better than any stock tyres on any bike in india even though they are thinner, provide better traction and cornering than karizma and p220 tyres. These tyres were specially developed by yamaha and MRF for speed and cornering with a special compound, in india we have a mentality that broader tyres are better but frankly it's the rubber compound that matters and not thickness, seen racing cycles with thinner tyres easily beat thicker tyre mountain bicycles, and besides yamaha did a thorough research before putting the tyres in there, if it was not for performance and for cosmetic resons only they would have gladly obliged to thicker tyres and aggressive back as the front. well i believe that answers most of your query but if still in doubt, you are more than welcome.take care, nim'sRead More
