Chevy lover, I just checked with the RTO and though they insist for Emission certificate as a thing they have done for years ... they are not sure of the rules, whether latest vehicles need or not. They are going with what they once knew! All he said was in the past it was for all vehicles over 1... year...and your understanding or 6 months is a crap! Now take that! Why, pretend you know something when you don't!! Honestly, there are tons of people like you in India ... and until you change, India will continue to suck! Know before you talk. And you talk about learning the rules ... when you point one finger at others, know that there are 3 others pointing at yourself. And you dare to ask me how I got my license. Well, well ... I have also transferred from Maharashtra recently to Bangalore ... and I must admit that the services are kinda different here. We had a horrible time with Godrej ... but then you know what, after some frustrating moments it took care of itself. For you it's been just a few days -... relax, don't loose your cool over it! Try contacting some higher officials and you might be able to get your job done. I have an Aqua Flo Designa filter, but it's so easy to fit it yourselves. I can see your point in that, if they are doing the AMC, then it's their job. But why get frustrated when we can do it ourselves.
