I would suggest that you join the Orkut community that Derek Zoolander - korgsp2001 - has created to expose Spearhead Broadband Pvt. Ltd. to the general public. If we are vocal about our horrible experiences with Spearhead Broadband Pvt. Ltd., at least our brothers and sisters out t...here will not get cheated in a similar manner.
If we unite together in one voice against Spearhead Broadband Pvt. Ltd., we can file a consumer complaint against them in the consumer complaint court and get them shutdown for good. If people are aware that Spearhead Broadband Pvt. Ltd. is the worst ISP in the country, no one will opt for their connection. Spread the word through the Internet, forums, communities and most importantly, word of mouth. Remember that most of the people who get cheated and duped by Spearhead Broadband Pvt. Ltd. are housewives and unsuspecting school children who know very little about how the ISP business works. They trust Spearhead Broadband Pvt. Ltd. by paying them the high installation fee and get locked in to their horrible service for months. Before they want out, its too late as they have already lost 1000s in installation and advance costs.
We should push hard for a law that makes it mandatory for every illegal ISP like Spearhead Broadband Pvt. Ltd. to adhere to stringent SLAs. Any violation of the SLA beyond a certain point will result in termination of their operational license.

On a more positive note, here's what i recommend:
Go for the MTNL Triband ADSL 1 GB plan (Rs. 599) per month. This is by far the most reliable ISP in the Indian market today.
As a backup, you can take a 64 kbps cable internet line from Tata Indicom or Iqara. This will allow you to swi...tch from one ISP to the other seamlessly in case one fails.

I would strongly recommend that you do not waste any more time and money with Spearhead Broadband India Pvt. Ltd.
Their business model is nothing short of a fly-by-night-operator's, except that these crooks have been in the business of cheating poor, unsuspecting customers all over Khar, ...Bandra, Santacruz, etc. for decades. In India, cable operators thrive on the absence of rigid consumer protection laws. In any other part of the world, the two owners of Spearhead Broadband India Pvt. Ltd. would have been thrown into jail for making crores of rupees by cheating people out of their hard earned money.
The modus operandi of the two owners of Spearhead Broadband Pvt. Ltd. is extremely simple - they have taken one 'data pipe' on lease, on the basis of which they run their so-called ISP business. Technically speaking, this single data pipe is good for only 100 users, but Spearhead Broadband Pvt. Ltd. uses the same data pipe to offer Internet connectivity to 25,000 users instead. Every ISP is supposed to have a backup pipe in case of failure. Spearhead Broadband Pvt. Ltd. has no backup data pipe and all users are forced to rely on a heavily burdened and trafficked data pipe which frequently trips when people go about downloading large files or in case there are too many users online.
The sad truth is that our useless politicians have made it easy for thieves like Spearhead Broadband Pvt. Ltd. to rape the general public in any which way they want. The modus operandi of these crooks is very simple - They simply take a garage for Rs. 8,000 per month rent, hire 3-4 out of work cable men at salaries of 2,000 per month, and 1-2 engineers who are all high school dropouts at 4,000 per month. They simply take a data leasing plan from network service providers like NetMagic for fixed bandwidth costs like Rs. 1 lakh a month, and sell individual packages to 25,000 homes, charging an average of Rs. 500 per month per household.
