@Manreet, Bang on. Yes, we are educated enuff to voice our opinions. But, As I understand the same education should apply to the reviewer who wrote this review on a product which is Fitness One and should refrain from personal attack. Management can be targeted if not happy but naming names is somet...hing outright cheap and disgusting in a public forum like this. And by voicing your opinion you fell in the same category. You/reviewer should know how to write a review. You can check many such good reviews on this site both positive and negative. But maligning someone openly is something which cannot be tolerated and I am sure the Management of MS will agree to it. Faisal and Co should look into this and take actions.Read More

I cannot understand why one would continue to go to a place for one year if so much crib in the heart. Moreover, Fitness One is a well known Brand all over India. Yes, I agree one cannot be satisfied all the time by all the brand one comes across. But, your review stinks with sheer arrogance. It ...is not a product review. It is a personal attack which should not be the case. Lastly, going by the review, Pros: Nothing. Understood. But, Cons also Nothing. Wow... Something fishy...isn't it?Read More

And as I read the comments above I am so startled by now. A guy says, 'Zoya failed to extract the best out of the leading cast, more from Konkana' WHOA!!! God, They all are really frog in well. Forgive them. @Zoya, if you happen to read this 'by any chance' then I apologize on their behalf.

Average Direction? Are you sure? This looks like 'frog-in-a-well' review to me. Girl, Get real and get rational. Zoya has done something which many film-makers who have made movies with a backdrop of Bollywood could not do so far. Not even Farha (OSO) and not even Madhur (Fashion) where 'Bollywood' ...was the backdrop. This comment is not to demean you or your write-up but if the two profound factors of this movie (Music and Direction) appear in 'Cons' then it's absolutely a case of either irrationality or bias. Care to explain? Then I will explain how Zoya has created a history!!!Read More

BrainFart Sir, Why should you be bother of whether I get bothered of replying to you or not? I certainly will in all my capacity. “Is filmmaking only about you and the way you perceive things? Your question is apt and for this I would say it depends on the film-maker. Film-makers like Guru D...utt, Bimal Roy I feel fall in the category which u have mentioned and same goes for Sudhir and Anurag. What do you think 'No-Smoking' was all about? His 'Black Friday' was an inspirational movie but 'No-Smoking' was not. I think highly of both his movies but there is a difference between 'admire' and 'inspiration'. Now answering your question in more direct way, I will ask a question back. When a writer writes a book, does he not hope that his books are sold out? When a composer composes music, does he not think that his music should be well appreciated and received? So, I would say filmmaking is indeed about you and you perceive things but at the same time you look for recognition as well. After all who doesn't want to be recognized for his effort. But there are few makers who are arrogant beyond comprehension.Read More

No need to say thanks for my views. I had to express it. Coming back to your reply I understand what you mean to say by that you see change around you. However as I said, I understand your POV but I won't accept that one-off incidence mentioned by you in your exemplary defense is a revolution. I...f one true SRK fan is disappointed then let me tell you there are tens to 'that one' who are vouching and backing him still after RNBDJ. The odds are still in favor of SRK. We appreciate artists like Vinay, Abhay, Rajat, Konkona, Seema, Sandhya and their kinds but they cannot be ever SRKs, Aamirs, Aishwaryas and Ranis of Bollywood. To make it more evident let me say that If critics could make stars then Irrfan would be the Badhshah and Konkona would have been the Queen long back. As for your observation that they do not care for tags, banners, khans and a near character is standing shoulder to shoulder with a superstar, I agree but in actuality even Naseer, Om Puri, Smita Patil, Leela Misra, Farookh never cared about then ruling Amitabhs, Dharmendras, Rekhas and Hemas. So, why this sudden flare-up of current off-beat actors. I hope I am able to make you understand my POV here. Cinema has always survived with both the parallels and will continue to do so. There is nothing drastic happening in the minds of cinegoer. If we have Anurag and Sudhir trying to bring about the change, we also have Ghais and Chopras selling out the same dish again and again since 20 years. Such two opposite poles have always existed and will continue to do so in many years to come. And we got to give credit to each. We cant run down one for other and vice versa and hail the common cinegoer's psyche for revamping the scenario.Read More

They have suddenly started accepting that it would not only be about Fairy Tales, Macho Mans, Drop dead looks, bimbos, thin plots and already expected endings. If you say this based on the fact that Tashan, TPTM, UMAH and few others made on those lines flopped then in a way you are right. But, at th...e same time few others made on those very lines created a stir at BO. Fairy Tales (JTYJN), Macho Mans (Race n SiK), Drop dead looks (Dostana), bimbos (Fashion), thin plots (Jannat) and already expected endings (Oh, almost all the hits) were all made on the lines which u mentioned but they are all hits. So, saying that the cinegoer is changing at this point of time would not be very appropriate. Cinegoer has definitely grown a bit but it would take a whole generation to pass before a valid justification can be provided for what works and what doesn't or may be it would never happen. I am not hailing film-makers neither I am demeaning the cinegoers but it's about them as much as it's about us. If it's not then why movies like Khoya Khoya Chand flopped despite being one of the few made keeping the sensibilities of a common intact. It was pulled off many theaters within a week of release. Where the cinegoer's sensibility ran off then? For me KKC was class apart. Do you know why it didn't work, because OSO was released during the same time. Now, You, me or anyone can simply say what utter nonsense OSO was. But it worked no one can deny that. I liked No Smoking and KKC last year. But many did not. This year I liked OLLO, Mithya like a grown up cinegoer, but Sorry Bhai was a complete No-No. So, even if we say that cinegoer's choices are changing, we cannot for sure conclude anything out of it. Aren’t we nothing when it comes to making a genuine top class movie. I disagree. We might not be everything, but we definitely are something. We have some gems right under our nose but it’s we the audience who are rejecting them. Gems which audience have rejectedRead More

CoolWater I am aware of, she was nice as my people told about her. The excuse whch give is absolutely frivolous. While reviewing a book you either do justice to it or you fail and in your case I see you totally fail, completely get defeated though your fan her might wah-wah you for your review b...ut the truth is it won't sand for a book review in it's totality. period. Why you would not mention California episode. Is it not in book. you are for hossein's sake reviewinga book and you dare to say you would not comment on one of the most crucial factors. If it was trivial I would have understood, but it wasn't. And now excuse if there are plenty other good reviews. If you think so then why are you writing a review. Let people be content with those plenty other good reviews. Mister that's a feeble excuse FYI. The other friend whom u get reminded of is my friend (a very special friend) FYI.Read More

Madam 'Main-Mona-Lisa-Hoon-Na' writes a review on our very own great DADA and does she do justice to that? Not even an iota of it. I being a fan of DADA arguably disapprove of such review. Do not say something (anything) by posing yourself as an alter-ego of Mr. Great Balls (aka Ganguly). Write review on him as an audience of him. I am a fan of him more than your balls can even imagine but at the same time I am no pseduo-psycho.

DUDE, u need to be sent to some rehab center. I hope u get well soon. Writing a review (rather preview) of a movie on Nov 10 which in actual gets released on Nov 14 is nothing but a CRIME and a deed of unstable mind. Go Hit the REHAB soon

Very nicely written review covering all the aspects. Priyanka had in all 6 releases this year and all were boring except fashion till now. As per you, looks like Dostana is good too as far as her acting is concerned. Once again. a very detailed review.

This review just covers one aspect of it.. The book is much more than that... for example; there is Amir and his father's story when they are in California which is covered in detail,... also no mention of Soraya (Amir's wife) and many such more trivial incidents.. While reviewing a book its a crime... to cover it in just one aspect... There is much more to the book than the usual mentioned love-n-guilt. Kite Runner is not about just Love. Hope people can understand the deeper meaning of the book which is way beyond the trite love and betrayal.Read More

Mr. Nair, I fail to fathom what are you more pissed at? That 'Adiga' won Booker OR The India has been shown in bad light. Whatever be the reason, your article fails to qualify for a REVIEW. To start with, it's just a story, a fiction and I do not understand why anyone should dictate any term on ...other as to what to write and what not to? We call ourselves a democratic nation and that gives us privilege to say whatever we want to say. This democratic whistle has been blown always and Adiga is no different. He has full right to say whatever he wants to say and at the same time you too have an access to demean him and his work but what annoys me the reason cited by you for doing so. I think you are literally not well aware as there are many books that have shown Indian and Indians in great light which I guess might soothe your biased mind. And many have won International honors (if not Booker). Just because Adiga takes away the 'Booker' every TDH worth his salt is attacking him based on the prejudices they nurture in their mind. You are not alone in there. There are many so called High-Class critics who have run down the book and trust me few did so without even reading it. You say if we write badly on India we are sure to get Booker. How naive statement is that Mr. Nair? Anything that gets written on India need not be in good taste. What Adiga has shown is merely a fictional account of a poor man (Balram) who rose like a phoenix. It's Balram's story and I hope you agree to me that one such Balram doesn't constitute for whole India and at the same time I strongly say such men exist. So what if Adiga goes and tells the story of one such man.Read More
