Very interesting and informative. Wondering if this finally worked out? I am also waiting for my product to be returned by Quikr Doorstep after the buyer cancelled the order after waiting long time for delivery. Buyer has not yet got back the amount paid to Quikr.

- You have the option to file a consumer case. I would recommend ICRPC, but hold on a sec. A consumer court case will mean you have to make 4-5 trips a year or more to settle the issue, and even after you win, Airtel is going to drag its feet by apeals or just plain ignore the order et...c. Why should you take all the trouble and expense? Let Airtel file the case if they are interested in showing the world what a law-abiding company they are. You will get the chance to present your side too, if ever it goes to that extent. You don't even have to hire a lawyer, just present your facts well and you will definitely win. Airtel would never do something like that because they are well aware of how fraudulent their practices are.

- If you get a call one fine day from a ''Police inspector'' from some station informing you that there is a warrant out for your arrest as you have ignored three legal notices and that you have to appear in court to pay the outstanding amount immediately, or to call another number to ...speak to the concerned ''lawyer'', don't s#$@ your pants. Relax, its just a hoax. All these guys are from Airtel's collection agencies. And no police inspector is going to get involved in something like this, they have more important things to do. You can hold off running out the door and making the payment in a hurry, thinking you are otherwise likely to spend the day in jail.
- More about legal notices. A legal notice can basically be sent by anyone through a lawyer and is is a statement of intention from the company. Basically it is a threat that the company is going to perform the action mentioned in the notice unless.... It is different from a court warrant which has to be delivered to you personally. This has to be collected by you alone by signing for it. There's no way you can miss a court warrant. And if you ever ever get a court warrant, be brave about it and fight it out. But most probably, Airtel is not going to wash its dirty laundry in public. So relax - this is probably something that’s not going to happen.

Here are some tips if you are being harassed to pay your outstanding amount by Airtel -
- If you honestly owe Airtel some money, please make the payment. You can even talk it out with them to waive off all the needless late payment charges. But be aware that u...nless you get a revised bill, they will continue to harass you after taking whatever amount you pay. So insist on a revised bill and then pay it off.
- If, like me, you are being harassed for some ridiculous amount due to wrong billing for using a measly amount of GPRS, be brave and make a stand. Unless consumers like us take the tough path, nothing is going to change for the better.
- Be brazen when Airtel calls your close friends, relations or clients and asks them to tell you to pay the outstanding amount. You can even send out a mass mail to your closest contacts and inform them about the situation you are in and ask them to tell Airtel to ’’$%#@ OFF’’ if they call again. You have the right to sue Airtel for defamation, but thats another story if you want to take the trouble.
- If Airtel’s collection agents are pestering you continuously by calling on your current number, use a smartphone and add all their numbers into one single contact maybe like ’’Airtel Nuisance’’. Then change the ring tone for that particular contact to a silent tone, then enjoy ignoring them while they try calling you everyday. If you can find out from which agency they are calling, do a Google search and see if they are listed on Airtel’s website or some place. These agencies are permitted to call only from some numbers. So you can add all these numbers also under the same contact name.

I'm afraid you are not reading what your other customers are saying about Snapdeal. We are being treated differently by merchants. What difference would it make whether you got an appointment (if at all you managed to get one) or not, especially when there are hardly any other customers. This is jus...t an excuse so merchants can offload you to some time slot or location which you will never be able to keep. For these deals to be fair, merchants should be bound to honour the vouchers as per the discount terms without making excuses. Otherwise, I believe Snapdeal will be just another distant memory before long.Read More
