I am removing my earlier review. While its true that the bike has given me loads of trouble, its an absolute pleasure to ride when everything is on song. well, to cut a long story short, RE has replaced the engine on my bike. The service guys told me that they have replaced parts worth 35, 000. ...Read more

I am regretting my decision to spend Rs 105,000 on this bike every day of my life. The merciless teasing from friends and family is an added attraction. The tank started leaking on day 1 itself. the dealer changed it after a week. The tappet valves eroded. Again it took one week for the bike to ...be repaired (part was not available it seems). Then the electric starter motor crashed. I was stranded in the middle of the road for the better part of a day. The starter motor was replaced. The new starter motor crashed within a couple of months (at 10 in the night, couldn't use the kick starter also). I asked the dealer to remove the electric start facility, so that atleast i can ride the bike with the kick start. Now my bike started leaking copious amount of oil was told that it is because there is excess oil in the sysytem. But when one checks with the dip stick, there is hardly any oil. So topped it up by 1 litre (remember there is excess oil in the system!!!). the same thing was repeated for 3 consecutive weeks. The 4th week they consented to check the bike. I was told that it might be a problem with the piston ring or some gasket. I left the bike with them on 9th July. Its been a week and now am informed today that completely new pistons, new crank etc has to put. All this is besides minor issues such as rusting of screws, brake light not working, indicator plating fading etc. I admit, the rusting and fading gives the bike a rugged, weathered, vintage look. But i would have preferred this to happen atleast a couple of months down the line (remeber the purchase date is 27th January 2008, so we are not exactly talking talking about vintage stuff here).Whoever is in charge of manufacturing/production of this bike (i hope the engine and frame number helps in tracking) should be sacked. I can't believe that a 21st century manufacturing unit would turn out such shitty, crappy @#$% all productsRead More

When you buy a bullet and pay over Lac rupees for it, the least I expect is reasonable reliability, expecially since I bought the highest end Machismo AVL Engine (500 CC) I did not expect a reliability close to the Jap bikes or the likes of Bajaj etc - but for heavens sake some expectations of 21...Read more
