I used to be a postpaid gold customer for 4+ years. From the day I bought Reliance Netconnect+, I never received speed above 1.5 mbps - but in those days it was pretty good to have. The text above is sent to me from Reliance Support 'repeatedly' every single time I raise a speed issue. Actually, when I told them I am getting 1-1.5mbps but not above it - they went silent for few days and then throttled my speed to 400-500KBps. And I get super-high latency too (300ms+ ping to google consistently compared to 30-60 on bsnl). Mostly the speeds and latency I get make the connection totally unusable. First, I believe it is a deliberate throttling. Second, I am seeing speed drop from 1.5mbps to 400kbps speeds at the same place, same desk, with 95-100% signal strength. I asked them to provide me with 1 location and time in Ahmedabad where I can get speed of min 2.5 mbps. They did not respond. They cannot - because they deliberately reduce speeds. Especially for prepaid customers. Reliance Communications is an unethical company - they do not have the brains, resources, money or infrastructure to provide services they claimRead More

Before I begin writing about You Broadband problems, I must point that some of the ISP problems mentioned by users are baseless. Having worked as a field engineer earlier I know few idiots who don't connect to internet and try to browse and then complain. Sometimes they'll have speed issues beca...Read more
