Thank you aditya_online and mailsukhi for your comments. I dont know. I still dont feel that book is that great. Its partly because In India the conditions of women (in rural area) is not batter. I think this story is very common. If you rember for satyjit ray's movies, they depict poverty of Inda...i. And he was critisized for showing how poor, dirty and pathetic India was. I kinda feel same for the auther. Because he showed just the disgusting part of reality only. Not the whole picture. I accept that my review should be more analitycal and with strong points. I promise I will try that. But Just want to tell that I am not just critisizing for sake of critisizing. And for the end, it is strached. Actually Mariam came out as winner, she did something about their miserable life.(even though her tolerance power was beyond copmarision. She was like cornered cat, youk now cat attacks with her full pwer, only when she is trapped for her life in very small corner) But after her death, Laila had tariq's support. So nothing really special for her. She did what any woman could have done. I agree that It would be very hard for her to make living with two kids w/o man's support.Almost impossible. That' why it would be worth of all part 4. But here for what Laila did with Tariq's support no need of wasting 45 pages.Read More

(Though I said I was not expecting anything, I think in some hidden corner of my mind I was).  But I ...Read more
