iho For those of you who are confused about whether to get insurance or a health-plan, here are some comparisons that will help you decide: Insurance covers only post hospitalization benefits whereas preventive health plans cover pre hospitalization benefits Insurance does not provide regular ...health check-ups whereas preventive health plans do. Insurance does not cover dental whereas health plans cover dental services You are not given insurance if you are already suffering from an ailment whereas preventive health plans have no such restrictions. You cannot take certain insurance plans if you are above a certain age whereas there is no such age wise restriction in preventive health plans. Cosmetic treatments such as liposuction, botox etc. are not included in insurance but are incuded in health plans. Pharmacy is not included in insurance plan but is included in health plans. Diagnostics services are not included in insurance plans but are included in health plans. The premium in insurance plans are very high but it is not so in case of health plans. There are no concessions given in insurance plans but its there in health plans.Read More
