Hi all, First all should remember, ULIPs are Unit linked Insurance(Not Investment) Plans. Its primary objective is insurance and secondary is investment. If one need investment,, then go for Mutual funds(ELSS),, But ULIPs are good when compared over TERM plan+Mutual fund combo. I already posted a... review on this.Read More

dear goodfund advisor, as an advisor you are also doing the same mistake like all others. First ULIPS are NEVER an investment tool. Dont allege baseless complaints.. For a single premium ULIP the agents enjoys only 2% comissions. Dear friend u can also get past performance of ULIPs (refer moneyc...ontrol.com My point is ULIPs should be compared only with traditional endownment insurance plans and even though u compare it with a mix of Term and mutual fund they are still giving good return. Kindly read my post again and please say ur comments with support data. And yes, I am working with a MNC insurance company and u are welcome to my blog on ULIP ulipindia.blogspot.comRead More

Dear Mr. Kumar and friends, All the insurance companies pays comissions from the ALLOCATION CHARGES collected from the Customer. So before investing one be aware of this. And regading ING Vysya, this freedom plan charges 45% allocation charge and the minimum premium paying term is 5 years and in...surance coverage is till 70 years of age. They also have a BEST product ING High Life which charges only 14%,, the agent should have recomended this product to u because of this huge premium. IRDA, from feb 2008, has enforced a new rule that every agent should get SIGNATURE in the benifit illustration which clearly states all charges on a projected returns of 6% and 10%. If you have taken the policy after feb 2008, u would have signed in this document, then u should have aware of the charges. In this regard if you want any clarification, kindly call me at 9994237866 Read More

Dear Mr Prashanth and Sckamath, I have taken reference as ING Vysya Term Plan(Single Premium) and Ing Vysya New One Life. According to me the investment you make with a term plan does not give you any return. Because of that majority of people dont show intrest in it. In a Ulip apart from fun...d management and allocation charges, the mortality charges are only applicable to Sum at Risk, mean if u invest 1 lakh for 25 lakh sum assured, mortality charges applicable for only 24 lakhs,, and if everything goes well and fund grows to say 7 lakhs the charges applicable only for 18 lakhs( 25-7). ScKamath, Yo can take the sum assured upto 50 times of your first premium, mean for one lakh investment u can opt for up to 50 lakhs. And all should remember ULIPs are not investment products even though they gave in the past around 30 to 50% .Read More
