You are right, I am not as lucky as you are and I am very happy to see that your bike doesn't have the problems and you are enjoying.
With 5 to 10 minuites test ride I couldn't able to assess the quality of bike. only with few days experience I started experiencing the p...roblems/differences in my bike. It may be my bad luck.

my dear brother, the problems you said are true with bajaj 125 cc .you can use this vehicle up to 80 kmph very safely , after that highly unstable, be careful .component life of bajaj items are very poor. items like chain, sprokets, oilseals go very fast. tyres are poor quality of course, may last m...ax 25-30k km's.
Reagarding Head light you can do wonders with this bike, by changing the magneto and coil of with old bajaj 125 cc (round head lamp model). install 60/55 w Osram silver star bulb with round head lamp. you will be king on roads during night time..put extra switch for speedometer , parklamp and tail lamp connections , to improve lighting during night. It will cost you max Rs.1500/. HAVE A NICE NIGHT DRIVING WITH BAJAJ DISCOVERY.
THIS IS THE ONLY BENEFIT FROM BAJAJ. other wise vehicle is no greater that Yamaha Crux , frankly speaking.

For long distance with Santro Xing , better to keep a Pillow at you back to support your Back bone, You will feel more comfortable during long rides. No problem in taking santro for longer riders, better not to cross 70-80 km speed,

Bargain a lot in mp3 player,car cover, mattings etc., Demand Teflon coating in a nice way for free of cost and install Halix xtra vision bulbs, hope you will get in Bangalore, mfd by compact electric, bangalore, really you will enjoy the lighting of your car.Maintain little bit higher tyre pressure,... if you are roaming only in city for better mileage.
