Smooth and Courteous. What was scary was there was only 1 person who was calling me. could not reach to their Board number to verify. There are lots of fake M&P in the market especially in Hyderabad. Was reached out by Mr. Abhishek from Mirera. Even when I called on their number given on thei...Read more

Though the market is filled with positive vibes for City, but I shall give only the negative points which I could figure out with the new City 2012 Corporate model which I purchased in Hyderabad. Rear tyre, metal frame accumulates mud from the tyre (centrifugal force). This mud sits at the ed...Read more

You know vk223, Reva is least bothered about cost reduction for India market all because of its popularity and demand in EU markets. Solar panel was point of discussion long back, but charging is not possible. I personally had a discussion with Tata-BP solar, and imagine the cost of panel nearly... 1.5 lakhs. A small panel on car shall not make any difference. The car needs to have very large surface area to have the solar panels generate enough power to charge the batteries. Read More

DC motor maint can be around 500 to 750 per year. All new Reva-i are ac motor version. You shall get ac-moter version only if you go to buy one.

Out-perform' ?? Well there are couple of ways to look that. In terms of CO2 emission, nothing but a bicycle only can out-perform Reva and/or Reva-i. Tell me any petrol driven bike which has running cost of 40p per km. With Reva-i the cost of maintenance shall go further down (because of AC motor) ...Reva is the world's commercially successful car. What else!!! I agree there are limitations and cost is the biggest factor. Try to compare with any other electric car.Read More

RECC has launched the new Reva-I. The main difference with the old model is that Reva-i is driven by an AC motor compared to its earlier sibling, which had DC motor. Among the advantages of having an AC motor is that is has very less maintenance compared to a DC motor. Since electronics to contr...Read more

There is some words constraint in mouthshut. I have crossed 10K but not done the 3rd service. I reckon it is at 15K. So some more time to go. I have cross 140 kmph mark with LPG on the NICE road. Pick on LPG can be compared with Petrol without AC. With AC on it shows slaggness. It is cheap at Rs....2.10 paise on LPG.Read More

Hi Akash, This happens if the engine is cold. This has happened to me too. I think the tech reason for this is, when the cumbustion chamber is not at normal temperature (in this case it is cold) the difference in fuel ratio (in this case you change from LPG to petrol) may lead to engine going OFF. ...Yes indeed the other way round it shall work, because the microprocessor switch from pertrol to lpg when it;s requirement is fulfilled. With engine ON you cannot change from petrol to LPG. With the gear engaged and accelerator rewed up , you can the fule mode from LPG to petrol. But I doubt the other way out. In the nut-shell you car is absolutely normal. Stick to <60 kmph for first 1000kms, for a great mileage. Read More

Dear Chimpaku, Fundas are quite straight forward. 1. fill LPG early morning. 2. don't go beyound 60 kmphr for first 1500 kms. 3. Keep in Auto mode. 4. Don't be frugal in changing gears.

Dear Ajay, If you switch the ignition (but have not started the engine), press the LPG mode button for 4 sec you shall see the flashing yellow LED becomes stable, now the engine shall start straight away on LPG. Still learning.......

Hey nandtak, I have finally got the manual 22 days after the delivery. It is bad. But that's it. Auto market is becoming like that. I am quite satisfied with Duo. Tata's manual recommends 1 min idle before and after your actual travel. Actually it is good for tuning the engine but who has the time... now-a-days man. Zooming a cold diesel engine may damage it a bit. If you are purchasing Wagon-R then please don’t for 6x9 speakers in the rear. It eats up the boot space.Read More
