Real sad story.
U should not stop at claiming the fund for the tour alone.
Ask compensations for waste of precious time, anxiety, breach of contract, mental agony, etc.
Make them pay through the noise and let the noise reach the top management, let us see what they come up with.

Additional data to prove the fact that their business process(es) are sloppy!!
Based on this review, makemytrip people contacted me and promptly sent me a cheque for the quoted amount - Rs 3225 /-.
What's pathetic is, with this refund they expect me to re-word the review and probably make it a... positive one ...
But the fact of the matter is, it has made it even more worse :((
I was bit hurried up in demanding the return of quoted excess charge (Rs 3225/-), but the charge of Rs 25600 was based on flight charges for Kingfisher. Now, since this did not happen and it was by AirDeccan instead, the amount is a clean 6000K in excess, which these fellows have silently swallowed.
On the other hand, what they should have done with my claim is, take a look at the case completely with all the facts and figures and come back with the additional amount charged. Instead they have returned my quote on a knee-jerk fashion... act of desperation!!
I definitely am not impressed and would do my best to persuade my friends/contacts not to choose makemytrip at any cost.Read More
