We reached this place after a 1400 Km drive from Hyderabad - Bangalore - Hassan - Chikmaglur - Udipi - Karwar - Margao. A friend's help got us a good rate for Rs. 3000/night (third person charges waived) for 23, 24th of Dec 2006. Although this was peak season, the foreign tourist traffic was ...Read more

yeah - but having clocked over 100K Kms over the last couple of years I can identify with each one of those points. I purchased from the last lot of the SXis which were phased out to more dull and gutless versions. The body design/curvature behing the front wheels means a lot of splashing from... the front tyres - tried various mudflaps - doesn;t cut it. Engine idles very noisily. You could take it anywhere/anytime and every time come back refreshed.Read More

Yeah - rd 350 still evokes nostalgia from all the begged and stolen rides from friends but my Fury had one thing up over the 350 - the Brembo discs complemented the acceleration of the 18 bhps. And damn was the bike silent and stable when braking hard. Manoeverability in the city was far super...ior. You could really hug the bike through all the twists and turns and alloys and bigger tyres helped. Aah I misss my fury. Stupid enfield screwed the push rod and gear box and doomed it.Read More

Hyundai needs to look into this. I have just walked out of a twice rolled over accent crdi - without a scratch for either me or the passenger. - thanks to the seatbelts. I had a near miss once but was not lot that lucky second time around in a 8000 km young car. Steering is 'vague' is a d...efinite understatement of sorts. The car rolls all over the place if you just tap the brake at 100+. May be I was used to the more firmer steering of the Ikon sxi I drove for 1 Lakh plus kms without a fault. Also the seats give you a sore back in a long journey.Read More

I had to wait/dream for 3 months for this bike to arrive after I booked it - much against the wishes of my father and also the dealer who wanted to sell me an explorer (yuck). It consumed all my time and attention for the next 3 years before I sold it. Oh what fun those days were. I was an insta...Read more

I test drove a petrol safari a few months ago. I noticed that the accelerator pedal is not in line with the brake and clutch pedals. It is set further inside. So in city self driving when you have to deal with stop & go traffic, you have to actually lift the heel of your right foot. This may wor...Read more

There is not a lot that you expect from a car like ambassador - even after decades. Now when you have a performer like the ikon - you want more from the pack leader. small things as standard fare that go a long way.... like: Powered - side mirror controls Better sound proofing of the in...Read more
