Update: Bike is now clocking 38000 kms. Still running on the stock chain sprocket sets. Rear break shoe changed. T bar for handle is changes as my brother met a major accident. cost is 10,0000. Now bike's handling is hugely effected. Still running on the stock tires. Both tires reaching the end of l...ife. Looking for a size upgrade. Timing chain changed. Bike is producing bad noise in 5th gear due to worn out sprockets and scratching swing arm. Need to spend almost 5000/- for tires and sprockets. But we still love it, no plans of selling it.Read More

27456 kms on the ODO meter today. I bought a new car, so pulsar is enjoying some rest from few months. doing only 20 kms per day. new peoblem started, front brake completely worned out. Mechanic says its life is over. need to change that because breaks are really crucial.

@dhvanil Pulsar is obsolete and very common. Bit rough in technology. Try out the new Hunk which beats pulsar in technology, handling, ride quality and power. The downsides of Hunk are, failure model(dont fetch any resale value), costly spares, high maintenance, service quality and mileage.

Wagon r Duo or spark lpg ??

Apr 19, 2012 09:29 AM

Spark is better For resale and service Maruti may seem better, but the LPG kit installed on the spark is the best available. I have driven spark LPG there is absolutely no difference in the two modes. The tank is toroidal and leaves sufficient space in the boot as well. Wagon r duo suffers from lack... of punch, as its power to weight ratio is less than that of Spark. If you don't bother about resale value, Spark is the best.Read More

@ Sandy_Pulsar: Do not forget the petrol pump factor. Measure the mileage using tankful-to-tankful method. Maintain a petrol pump that has good reputation and do not change it. Try to maintain a significant amount of petrol in the tank always. Sure you will get good mileage. I get around 57-58, wit...h 70% highway and 30% heavy traffic conditions. Most of the ride is double. Change the gears quickly. Try to hit 5th gear around 35-40 kmph. Then maintain 45-55 speed. Sure you get 55 kmpl.Read More

update 9: It is horrible on a long drive. Better avoid Pulsar for a drive beyond 100 kms.

Mileage mostly dependent on driving skills and road conditions. Check your driving style, if it is correct, the problem may be with one specific car.

The hell with Honda’s. The thing is that the delay is not due to huge demand, but due to production capacity problems. If there is such huge demand, why don’t they start a new plant and cash in the demand? Why don’t they expand their business? If Honda is all good and great why is Stunner a big fail...ure? Why the streets are not flooded with Unicorn Dazzlers? Why Pulsar became the leading one in 150 CC segment instead of Unicorn? Most of our Indian mind sets are completely tuned to Indo -Japanese bikes.Read More

For all the Maruti lovers, You just keep yourself in the Maruti mania. But the thing is Maruti is also selling spares for high prices. 1 week back when i went to Maruti spares shop, they refused to sell the spares to outsiders. They asked me to give the car @ their service station. Which will impose... Vat 14.5%. Who cares, i went to aftermarket bought the spares i need after bargaining without vat. They are Maruti genuine(MGP) parts, and the shop wala said that they had contacts with the Maruti dealers. One more thing is showroom guys always try to replace the parts rather than repair. That gives them a whole lot of profit and less work. Every car brand is doing the same tricks. If TATA is such a bad brand why so many Indica's are running on the streets. What will you say now?Read More
