While going for the registration did they insist on legal opinion for the Sale deed. SBT is insisting on that and am not sure if this is standard practice.

Don't have to go all the way to Trivandrum. You will get a taste of it when you go to the Central Processing Unit after your loan is sanctioned. Everything is fine in the branch, but the CPU sucks. All wrong advise. He made me pay the Ad-velorem duty for registering my sale agreement, which was a Rs.... 8000 dent. Now he is saying that even during registration he will need a legal opinion, which will again be Rs. 2500. Their lawyers are more expensive than the other banks. Dunno why. Already paid Rs. 3000/- for the legal fees. Probably will have to shell out another 2500/- They said no processing fees, but I have already paid some Rs.10k for which I was not given proper explanation. Once you sign, you have no option left and that is when all these costs are revealed. I am not advocating ICICI, but there surely are better PSU banks then SBT. If you can ditch them and start your loan process elsewhere in some decent PSU bank, who are more transparent.Read More

On 2nd May I made a purchase of Rs. 443 at the Sarjapur Road Total Mall. I used a gift card to make the payment. Sadly in such a big store, they have only one machine to swipe the gift card. When I reached home, I checked the previous balance and compared it to the current one.

It is an extremely unprofessional organization. The Gift Card program is the most inefficient. They swiped extra amount on my gift card and even after 3 weeks, I am yt to get the credit for the extra amount swiped. They are just making me go from one person to other without resolving the issue.
