Unfortunately I shopped quite a bit at Woodpecker however am writing this review to warn anyone who is even thinking of shopping furniture with them. I purchased a so-called leather sofa, a wooden shoe rack, glass top dining table with them. The shop has a good ambiance and the furniture looks quite nice too but the good things stop with that. Like the old saying goes 'looks can be deceptive' its absolutely true at Woodpecker.
The sofa set (3+2+1) gave way in 8 months, the so called leather gets torn even when used very carefully with ugly white patches all over and about Rs.50, 000/- went down the drain. While purchasing they claim its genuine leather and will last a lifetime but the moment you go to them with the 1st complaint they will act as if they had warned you in advance.
They said the leather fabric must be replaced and will cost Rs.25K....I decided to give away the sofa to the kabadi which fetched me about Rs.2000/- :-( The shoe rack is so unstable that in 6 months its almost dismantled itself...and is ready to be taken away by the kabadi.
The dining table again comes with no guarantee and I have already spent about 3000 in after sales repairs. I would strongly urge the readers to refrain from shopping in Woodpecker in fact, I have shopped for all my furniture all over again from Hometown. I feel miserable that I got misleaded by their sales talk and ambience. Please shop only if you wish to throw your money away.
