My colleague got her mother the iQOO 12 5G with her first salary. She was excited to gift her mother the phone. But after a few weeks of using it, the phone started to act out. The battery life was a major letdown. It barely lasted a full day with moderate use, and forget gaming or extensive browsing on the go. The phone would get warm surprisingly easily, even for basic tasks. While the camera captured decent photos in daylight, low-light performance was underwhelming. The lack of expandable storage was another frustration, especially since her mother like to store a lot of music and videos on her phone. Overall, the iQOO 12 5G felt like a phone held back by its battery life and some key missing features.
