Inspiration comes packed like Steve Jobs!
I could title this review: The making of an icon. But that is such a simple title.
Steve Jobs is aVegetarian.
Of the difficult things we humans do are creating, inventing, building and the easy things we
do are destroying and spoiling. This book is an unofficial life story of Mr.Steve Jobs, because
it is the policy of Apple Inc., since long not to talk to press or ink people about matters
relating to co. This book was penned by Mr.Jeffrey S.Young and Mr.William L.Simon with great
difficulty and many sources.
It is a record of struggles by a sponteaneous man to establish 3 successful public listed cos. The
investors in all the 3 companies have profited from the stewardship of steve jobs, that is covered
in 334 pages full of insight and inspiration.
The cost is Rs.200 for cheap paperback, you wont regret reading it, it is full of lots of punches
faced by Steve Jobs. Sequoia capital and other investment bankers of Silicon valley were not what
they are today then, also it paints a picture of the valley when it was just beginning to become a
hub for computers, it also highlights the efforts of Mr.Steve Woz to connect a PCB to TV set to
display lots of different colour lights, that was what our ancient PC used to do, before it came in
the able hands of Mr.Steve Woz and Steve Jobs.

disney executives deal with themselves and others, you will learn Disney co. refused to buy 40%
of YAHOO at 100 million dollars and today Mr.Bill Gates is offering 44 Billion for Yahoo.
*I am giving you below few lines to ponder which I squeezed out of this book:-
There are lot of personal details about Steve Jobs's life, that is none of my interest, how was
his first daughter born and his parents and other stuff, unimportant.
A man starts a company with 2 major partners, one working for HP and Steve Jobs working for
ATARI around the age of 20 years and 26 years of age he owns stock worth 127 Million dollars
and at age 40 his worth is 1 Billion 400 Million, wow! is that progress is that positive work
is that inspirational. Today he owns multi-billions.
To me it is, I dont care Steve jobs roamed northern India wearing a Lungi searching for BabaJi
and finally settling for Zen Buddhism, it is so much personal belonging to him alone, if I want to
take inspiration from Steve Jobs, I will look at his achievements and his way to decision
making, after all the BRAIN inside the man made him achieve what he did.

Do these specifications sound a little bit different from others in the market, already people are
talking about the pro and cons of this device. That is the life of Steve Jobs to make people take
notice of him and be in the mind of public.
THE I-CON books dwells on apologizing a lot about the way Steve Jobs is understood by the public
and his employees and other market forces. I admire the MIND of Steve Jobs. If we look at pure
achievements he assembled in his portfolio, the energy of the man amazes me:-

(I remember seeing the TOY STORY and TOY STORY 2 and I was so happy with the movie, there
are many hit movies to credit of this company Finding Nemo, Bugz life etc., )
-Finding back FOOTHOLD again inside APPLE his baby. Biggest comeback in corporate America.
-Launching I-POD revolution, everybody is making i-pods, creating a new product and inventing a
market and demand for a thing which did not exist( CREATIVITY PAR EXCELLANCE).
-MACBOOKS and so many other innovations incubated by him and the process is going on till date.I-mac, I-tunes, so many useful portals.
-Desktop publishing(Pagemaker) this program busted many printing people out of business
making and marketing it and the process is ongoing.
I may not be listing all achievements intentionally because there are so many other computer
related products attached to Steve Jobs, we can call him one of the **FATHERS OF PERSONAL
COMPUTERS** dropping out of reed college, these are big, too big achievements.
He made PHD doctors work under him and create products which he sold so innovatively the world is aghast at his fairy tale, we cannot talk enough about him, he had charisma to boot with people skills and negotiating and presentation skills, he became a BILLION DOLLAR MAN. The
qualifications are so few and achievements are so many, we can call it a case of minimum
qualification and beyond dreams achievements.
Come people! I say this even to the writers of this book, give this man the credit he deserves, he
has not only bought Steve Woz and Venture Capitalists and other people like Mike Scully together
but cooperated in every step of their lives and sold to the PC world which is us. Utilities we use
everyday in our computers by millions of people of world.
I read the negotiations Steve Jobs opened with DISNEY executives after the success of TOY STORY and demanded 50% profit sharing of all merchandize for next films is so impeccable move, other giants would have cowed under the STATURE of Disney. But Steve Jobs not only made them agree but also timed the IPO of PIXAR so conveniently at times when he was facing bankruptcy or insolvency is SHEER guts and vision. No one could have pulled that stunt and come out winner and I honor that GUT he has.
You have 3 Moguls in 1 man Steve Jobs, Movie Mogul, PC Mogul, SoftWare Mogul, My basic
reading goal is to take inspiration from the writers or from the story they are writing
this book is precious in that goal. This review better now, I just want to whet your appetite for the man named STEVE JOBS.
