I was looking for a tab to read ebooks on the go and sporadically access the internet. I was eying to get a Micromax wifi only tab that was then available at around ?4200 but on the night of Christmas Flipkart offered Iball Slide i701 at only ?2999/-.
Seeing its specs and learning that it has genuine Windows 8.1, MS office license & a powerful Intel processor with added accessories like HDMI cable and 3 colorful back cover I couldn't resist buying one for myself.
But to my bad luck this tab has only disappointed me upon arriving.Yah it looks cool in hand, boasts a 3000mah battery and comes with 1 gigs of RAM. But everything got ruined when you try to read something on its screen. I don't know how could you ship such a feature packed device with such ugly screen to be honest. The viewing angles are poor and the options look so small that you end up pressing a wrong option.
Although this device is really fast and can do wonders if you connect it to a screen(leave the camera out of question please). But reading or surfing on this device is a pain. A pain that goes through your eyes and can be felt inside in your heart and your empty pocket. P.S. It's upgradable to Windows 10 but the low inbuilt memory will not allow you to do so.:(
