Even if you have oodles of money, and you want to waste it, throw it in a bin and light it up, but never ever spend your hard earned money on Videocon d2h! The picture quality is v good, but that is the end of its vfm package! Rest of it is all negatives.
I will tell you one by one:
just before Olympics or World Cup football, they will make those channels which actually beam the sporting event, a pay channel, and that too charged at a premium.I would pay to watch, but the fallacy lies in the fact is, they won't tell you that they have converted the channel to pay channel, till you come back from work, and open the channel, and find out just before an important game, that the said channel is blocked.
Now you call up Videocon customer care! Another lousy part of the dubious customer support of Videocon d2h! It is manned by Hindi speaking people who doesn't understand a word of English.Most of them are plain illiterate or are paid so little that they actually don't care! Also there is so much din behind them, that it is difficult to make these illiterate customer care persons to understand what you want as a customer. Probably the office of the customer care of Videocon d2h is either in a pig sty or they operate from a cow shed!
I have paid my subscription on 13th September and still till today, Videocon d2h sends me a message on my telly screen that, 'Your due date is 15/09/2018"! I again paid and my next due date of payment of 04/11/2018, but till today, that is 12/10/2018, as soon as I open my telly, the screen still shows the very stupid message saying "you due date of payment is 15/09/2018"! I have rang videocon customer care three times, and always they assure me that the message will go away in next 15 mins. I have emailed videocon d2h 3 times, and always they inform me that they have'send the requisite command to my set top box'! Requisite command my foot, I wish I could kick Videocon d2h's butt out of my home and take the service of any other d2h service provider.
Their is most probably one service personnel in Kolkata, who roams on a 2 wheeler. He mostly doesn't answer calls. even if he does, he says he will come that very day, but usually that means you have to call him 5 times in a day for the next 2-3 days. He will answer the call and say, he is very busy, but will surely come after coming out of his so called office. But that usually means that he won't come for the next 2-3 days more!
If you complain, against him.Then he will get cross, as the message would be passed on to him. And as a customer, who is paying for his freaking salary, would be made to suffer even more.
The nitwits sitting behind customer care are mostly brain-dead people.So no point in asking them any help.The seniors don't answer calls, or help any customers. Although their salary too is paid by customer's money.
I sincerely wish videocon d2h as a Company goes to the dogs, and the senior management roams on the street as beggars.
Avoid videocon d2h like the plague. You will save your money and have peace of mind!
Take a wise decision.I frankly do not care which service provider you take using your own money. But if you avoid Videocon d2h, you will have better TV viewing experience and extreme peace of mind.
