If Tatasky is bad Videocon d2h is the worst. Review on d2h

I was using Tatasky and got fed up with their bad service, costly & manipulative packages and frequent blowing of LNB.

I bought vd2h from T. J. Enterprises Goregaon, Mumbai and was installed on 10/10/09 with 2 months of Diamond package free and on 27/11/09 I was seeing the message(To Subscribe this channel - Please call Customer Care) on every channel, I called and asked how this happened before end of 2 months they said it was a mistake and it will start on 30/11/09 but it didn’t I called again and they said that they don’t know when it will start and after around four hrs. Somebody called and asked me why I am not recharging the account again I explained him everything he said ok and disconnected next day 1/12/09 same thing happened and now on 1/12/09 I am writing this feedback. They call it Direct hai Correct hai what is correct about their service I am paying for your mistake nobody from their side had any answer for any of my queries. All the things and services I have subscribed up till now vd2h is the worst that I have encountered.

The CD tray of the Satellite DVD was not coming out, at the time of installation they replaced it, the new one was also not working third piece was brought the next day finally it was ok but one screw from one side was missing and the metal cover was off on the other side after that it was never replaced what happened indicates that this people ship defective pieces and no QC is carried out at their side.

Regarding picture quality, squares pixels are clearly visible especially with night scenes.

There is an echo and the Treble is not good which results in unclear dialogues.

The user interface is very awkward and clearly indicates that some novice have designed it. There are many faults some to mention, reminder setting is not direct and easy and only 1 reminder can be set for same time nobody watches 1 program at a time. The synopsis is always incomplete. The language changes if channel(channel like discovery) is changed, only few channels are covered in the mosaic, the banner do not go even if exit is pressed.

The installer wanted to buy my Tatasky for Rs. 500, I refused and he took the challan of my vd2h Satellite DVD and never returned, also vd2h dealer(T. J. Enterprises Goregaon, Mumbai) is not giving me the Invoice for the Satellite DVD every time when I ask he says collect it on Monday but his Monday never arrives.

It's been 5 days and I am still not receiving any channel.

Present day situation

I used old diamond pack for 1 year on 15/12/10 I recharged my account through net banking the money was accepted considering new diamond pack but old diamond pack was continued. I called CSR to change the pack and asked what is difference between old diamond and new diamond pack she said only of cricket channel deducted in new pack and was in hurry to update the pack. I told to update the diamond pack but she also added cricket addon pack. During the conversation I never talked about addon pack, I asked her to change that and she said now nothing can be done and no matter what I do the money for addon pack will be deducted from my account. In India this is disgusting no matter whose mistake is it, always customers are to pay everywhere.
