What a waste of a sensational Diva - Sushmita Sen and a bright, talented upcoming actor - Shiney Ahuja. I wish Zindage... had rocked and when I left the threater I wish it would have been rocking!!!
From story line to actors to songs and the locations all have been wasted and screwed very well by Tanuja Chandra. Throughout the world the role of a mother is considered to be a very sacred one and would be always am sure. Tanuja Chandra has tried to bring up the same and show us to what extend the love of a mother for a child can go to. How sacrificing and selfless can she be.
To prove her point Tanuja Chandra makes us really suffer till the interval and after the interval unwinds her point to make the entire movie. I sure Shiney Ahuja would have charged her more for narration than acting. Though whatever he said was true but; HELLO we are here to watch a movie and not recall the phiolosoplhy of life and human nature.
Sush has a mother Mausmi Chatterji and a maasi Mausmi Chatterji....I am sure I havent seen Mausmi Chatterji put in such a terrible role before. As a mother she is tolerable..but as a maasi; oh god it is so irritable to see her in that role. They have tried to show both the twin sisters as opposites...why did Tanuja Chandra had to waste a good actress like Mausmi Chatterji.
Sush's friend and manager and her boy friend JOJO...are a filler and her darling son I wish was as cute as her daughter in real life. It is said that the movie story line is same as that of shush in real life. But trust me in the movie her son is no where even close to her sweet lil daughter. I still remember I had seen them both on Zoom when her daughter sang this lil poetry and along sang shush....oh that was beautiful. The movie dint seem anywhere close to it so I guess Tanuja hasnt done her homework well.
When I say the location is wasted its not jus Shush's house in the movie and the hospital also the elephanta caves from where the movie starts. Where shiney is with his mother-in-law and son having a picnic. Then he is arrested for a crime and is speaking to a lady police officer. Now shiney starts off with his story and the movie goes to a flashback.
Shush is a rock star and Shiney a doctor...they fall in love I guess in a week. She comes for stiches...she is lovely bubbly talks to much...he is reserved and composed with his wife in coma for 5 years...so you see opposites start attracting. They go out for dinner....they talk till dawn and they realise they like to be with each other and finally accept that they are in love. A lovely longggg song where you dont have a dance sequel; it goes on along with the story in the background and just before the interval ends up with shushs son collapsing down.
Shush does look beautiful in the song. In between - I was really glad the movie was half over. Post interval...shiney runs around...tries to figure out things as her son has a problem in his heart and needs a transplant. A doner is difficult to get and shush is desperate.
A suspence is created...and in the end it is shown that she is not planning to kill one of the doners but commits suicide to give her son her heart. And a few years later Shiney is with his son and the family. A happily lived ever after type effect.
Ahuja is left by the officer cause she is TOUCHED.
The son has no clue where his mother went but he is all happy without her while everyone else is shown to be crying and sad. Siney leaves his practise for his son to become a very good human being as he is the future of beautiful Kria (our Shush) and has to be worth the sacrifice she gave in.
So here ends the movie...though it was a quick wrap up am so sure you wouldnt be able to tolerate it in detail. There a lot of things in between which make no sense...specially a cute small soccer match after the prob for her son is detected. She faints twice seeing a lil scar on her son. How arifiicial is that. Live life to the fullest is a good attitude but common, Tanuja could have been more acceptable. The movie is simply unacceptable.
Do you want more...Am sure not. I truely recommend you do not for the movie. I went with my uncle and had a royal seat which costed his Rs. 180/- each. I was cozy and comfortable just the movie was not right.
Couples can go for it cause the threater is empty. All yours ;)...seriously!!!
