Having seen the worst beauty pageant show, I?ve no words to describe the degree of annoyance. Maureen Wadia?s statement of women of style and substance had nothing to do with the show.

I watched this dumb show for the first time and was totally astonished that this is how hypocritical a show which supposedly had to emphasize the greatness of married women could prove.

According to the founder of Gladrags Mrs. India, Maureen Wadia, Mrs India is both style and substance: ''someone who has charisma and attractiveness in more ways than one, who looks good in more ways than one and who has maintained herself well even after having babies''.

I don?t understand what this statement has to do with raising a platform for women in the beauty pageant. The compere?s mannerism on stage was ridiculous. Every millisecond he had to say ?Babiji or Ladhki? Come on man, the contestants had to be given due respect for god?s sake! Not forgetting to mention his silly jokes which were nothing but utter stupidity personified. I don?t get it, who are they making a fool of?

The show started with showing the contestants preparing for the big game and stuff. Followed by swim wear with dumb poses. Guess they were trying to make it look more international but sadly it seemed like they were doing rehearsal. The initial part of the whole show was ok. When it came to the day of the contest on stage they made a total mess. And the little amusement which they tried to do was some performance by hardly clad women. You should have seen the main performer?s dressing. What the hell in the world was she wearing, almost nothing. And it the place looked like a strip dancer?s club.

They could have had better performances. And who are the audience? They were mostly the contestant?s family members and friends as young as 3yrs to pretty old.

For a minute I was wondering ?Is this India? A country whose cultural traditions and values are unmatched to any corner or the planet??

The silly performers were imitating more of seduction and lust than grace and elegance in their idiotic dance. What is the necessity? Why do you have to be beyonce on a beauty pageant trying to amuse the audience ranging from kids to grannys?

The host was unwontedly cracking stupid jokes in spite of talking about the greatness of married women (Indian). There are a hundred worthy issues to talk about married Indian women trying to struggle their way in the society making way for their family and career.

When talking to the judges he asked questions like ?Why aren?t you getting married or when are you getting married instead of asking them what they think about married women?s plight in the society.

And this guy made a statement ?yeh ladkhiyan saabh acche parivaar se hai? What the hell he means by ?These GIRLS ARE FROM WELL TO DO AND GOOD FAMILIES?

Does that mean all the contestants of any beauty pageants are mere SLUTS?

Such shows if it really had to show a women?s substance and style, should have been made ELEGANT and with some respect. Where the hell is the substance?

Wadia was trying to justify that style and substance of a married woman is merely maintaining a good figure and exposing the most out of her body. How silly can this be?

I can imagine how bad the ex- Mrs. India shows must have been. I don?t reside in India. What will the Non-Indians or non-Indian residence think of our culture if portrayed as such? Indian married women of style and substance?

Maintaining a good figure and dressing half clad doesn?t make a woman (married) any better morally. Shouldn?t they have given more importance to other aspects in a married woman which could prove her a supporting pillar of the society?

If anyone gets to know the e-mail add of the shows producer pls don?t mind passing it to me. I want him to seriously know that a woman of substance is not what they tried to portray.
