Visited this place with my friends last year. So I am sharing my experience about this place. Yoksom is a place which is located in the western region of Sikkim and basically its a small village which is known for its natural beauti and majestic view. It is situated near the Kanchenjunga National park and it is a heart of the mountain covered with green vegetation. For traveller's and treakers the village of Yoksom basically serves as a base camp of Mount Kanchenjunga. It is a attractive tourist spot for most of the adventurous treaks of Sikkim. There are also some unique tourist attractions nearby this place like the Tendong hill, the Menam hill. There is also a beautiful Monastery called the Enchey Monastery. Then you have the tea gardens like Temi Tea garden and Barong tea garden. The only drawback about this place would be that basically its a place for traveller's who likes to go for treaking expedition and not for families who prefers for a vacation and entertainment. Apart from that this place is also lonely and isolated and not that crowded with lesser hotels and restaurants, so families who likes to visit places for an entertaining vacation may not like this place.
