YouTube is currently the second largest search engine in the whole world and when it was bought by google in 2006 for$1.65 billion many rightly said that it was a bargain deal. I started using YouTube earlier for music videos but later on it become the ultimate source of entertainment and learning for me. Every now and then I go on a YouTube marathons which means watching videos continuously for long hours irrespective of the genre.

There have been moments when I have started watching some music video which led to some cute animal videos and then to some conspiracy videos. The website is so addictive that if you have an access to internet there is no need for a TV in your life. You can subscribe to news channels for the latest updates for the happenings around the world. You can subscribe to the stand up comedy channels for a laugh or two, You can subscribe to channels which help you learn something specific.

For eg if you wanna learn web development there are several established online tutors who will teach you in layman terms by showing live examples. You can learn how to cook by searching your favorite recipe with a chef giving you a video demonstration, I mean it is one huge gigantic enormous source for knowledge. It depends what you take out of it. I have subscribed to atleast 200 channels to make sure whenever I login to YouTube I have desired videos of chosen category in front of me . The best part is you have an access to the world and you can showcase your talent without spending any money. If your work is good people will like it and share it and it is one of the easy ways to get famous.

If you are good at entertaining then go ahead and upload five minute videos and if you are able to gather fans then not only you will be famous but also earn the Google Adsense money. I would advise people to not restrict the use of YouTube to entertainment only since you can really improve your life if you chose to make use of access of knowledge that it enables to all the users.
