I have booked 2 bed room at ooty Youth Hostel which is run by Youth hostel Association of India. This is located in Fernhill, Soth Lake Road in ooty. I was so attracted by seeing the website YHAINDIA.org and booked through internet.
When I reached the hostel for 4 days stay, I am unable to belive the infrastructure and quality of the hostel maintained. It was very dirty, very old, not hygenic place to stay. The moment, I saw the room, I took the decision of searching some private run hotel instead of get locked in dump yard, turdy place like this hostel. My concern is, when Youth hostel is able to run with internet booking and support team at delhi for operation, why the maintanance is very poor. The meaning of hospitality will be shattered if you see this hostel.
I would recomand, not to go to this hostel please and dont get attracted by internet website
