Do NOT EVER go for YOU tele. Review on Youtelecom

Do not ever go in for a YOU tele broadband connection. Do NOT even think about it. These guys are cheats all over. NEVER believe what the sales guys says - he/she would say there would be no installation charges and still collect some money saying that it would be refunded on cancellation. FORGET this money. Then there would be commitment about installing the cable and modem within 48 hours. What a joke! Once the money is collected, you will have to chase the sales and the support guys back and forth and you are lucky if someone picks up the phone.

After a couple of weeks, if you get a connection, be ready for sudden outages. And the speed - it is very carefully worded and very very misleading - UPTO 2 Mbps. Dont expect anything close to 2 Mbps in that TV cable that hangs dangerously over lamp posts and trees on the road. Service will be so poor and I am sure that you will have to switch back to your dial up connection or another broad band connection. At the end of all this, you will receive a bill that contains unexplained charges and NOW all the guys from YOU tele will be become active - to call you 2-3 times a day asking you to pay the bills. These things can happen only in India - service providers cheat, are not courteous, do not provide any decent level of service and can still get away scot free. I should have gone through the reviews on YOU tele in MouthShut before I signed up - my mistake!

If any one needs advice on which broadband - my humble opinion - irrespective of delay and a bit of poor customer service, go in for govt owned service providers - MTNL/BSNL. Airtel is expensive but more straight forward and definitely no cheaters!
