Here is my experience with YKROK, Electronic city. They are cheaters and they are unfit to run day-care.
My 2.5 year old son used to go to YKROK 7 months ago. We were trying hard to get him into Bright Vistas but they did not have vacancy, we were left with no choice. One of my friend used tell me that YKROK should be rename to “Your Money is Our Money”, I found it funny and ignored him. Also the day care ambiance looked ok to me and my wife.
My son being first timer in a day care, we expected him to cry. But his situation and reaction in the evening (while picking up) was very worrisome and sometimes very depressing for us. He used to be alarmingly quiet and non reactive to everything. It was as if he has undergone some ‘shock’. He would not speak up and quietly sit in the back seat while driving home. After few hours he used be ok.
First week we tolerated this and then next week he was at home and then continued to YKROK. And then next 2-3 weeks things improved little. But one thing which never changed was that; in evening he used to jump on food as if whole day he has not eaten anything. We used to get good feedback about his eating habit from YKROK.
One day we saw a black mark on left side of his forehead (about length of our index finger and twice the width of index finger width). When asked they said while dancing he hit other 3 yr old baby. We had big argument there because there will not be black mark when you “collide” with soft object like a baby. We went to our pediatrician; he said this injury has to be from a hard object. So next day we enquired more and asked the other kids parents contact number. Other kid’s mother said that her son was not in the day-care on the day when this incident happened. When inquired further, YKROK stuck to their story. But by this time we had lost faith, so we stopped sending our child. I tried to follow up for money back and even threatened them to drag to court but till now I have not received my money.
One more thing which I forgot to bring:
One evening my wife heard our son crying in kitchen/washroom area, so she barged in there. This was 2 day after we noticed black mark near our son’s forehead. She saw that my son was standing in sink and one lady was washing him from chest to down with COLD water in 6 PM evening of December. It was as if we wash vegetable. And then my son was made to stand on the kitchen slab (imagine 2.5 yr old standing on kitchen slab). That was our last day there.
After 4 months of break my son goes to bright vistas and things seem ok here; but once bitten, twice shy.
