Yoko Sizzler
Yoko Sizzler is a new restaurant that has opened on Road # 1 Banjara
Hills. It is in the same building where the Often Cafe is. They
advertised a fair bit and also claim to have branches in Mumbai, Dubai
and a few other places.
Getting there:
The restaurant is on the rare part of the complex and it is very easy
to miss it. It just has a small board outside. The building in bang in
front of the traffic junction opposite City Centre, so it is not very
easy to stop your vehicle and search for the place.
The Place:
The place is very well done and is very low lit.
It has a high roof and
is spread over two floors. The seating is comfortable and the
ventilation is good enough for a speciality sizzler joint. The
restaurant does not have a wash room of its own and uses the common one
for the complex, which is a few minutes’ walk and is more like a public
toilet. I went there twice, the first time it was not open yet and the
second time. Well. read on.
The Experience:
I went there on a Monday evening after making a prior reservation. In
spite of the reservation, I had to wait for close to fifteen minutes.
The menu was exhaustive, mostly concentrated on sizzlers. They don’t
serve alcohol. The prices were around 250 for Veg and 300 for non-veg.
The serving quantity was generous. We were three of us and ordered for
three sizzlers. We waited for close to 35 mins. Even while ordering, we
had to yell around to get the captains attention. After waiting for
that long, we were frustrated and were walking out. Only when we went
out of the door did someone notice and came running to us. When we told
him that we were waiting and were frustrated, all he said was “ I am
sorry Sir” and we walked out.
Verdict:
Good place, Nice ambience, GO AT UR OWN RISK!
