Eye opener. Review on Yo Bykes

I am staying in Thane, Maharashtra, using YO Smart since 12th October 2006.Which is purchased from City bykes, Thane, Maharashtra, and using this vehicle within city limits only, with a single person

load of 63 kg. As it is the performance of this vehicle as mentioned by the company is correct, as on the basis of average per charge. Which I already tried and reached upto 72 Km/Charge. Riding is also quite comfortable.(Check fo new set of suspensions on the new model) You can consider the vehicle good for city roads, as on the basis of usage. But I am not at all happy with the quality of the tyres and tubes provided along with this vehicle. First it is a Chinese make, what we see when we open the tyre for puncture repairs,

which is not available to any tyre traders or tube repairers. And even a tiny particle of flat glass of 2 mm dimension is making a puncture in the vehicle. Till today I have removed puncture on this vehicle,

approximately 12 times, which was due to 2 mm to 4mm glass / metal / stone particles (not nails). Even the tyres and tubes are only available at Yo dealer, which at odd times when the puncture is there, are to be collected from the dealers place, or not available also. The tyres which are used in this vehicle are of a quality, which is less than a normal bicycle tyre.When we are using tubeless tyres or

tuff up tyres for latest two wheelers. As claimed by your company and their dealers, the tyres and tubes are of a good quality, which is actually a fake.

Secondly, when we remove the puncture, we should be more careful, while refitting the rear wheel on the vehicle, because after every puncture removal a specific knocking sound is coming from the rear wheel while appling brakes on the same.And only dealer person is setting the same properly, there is no wheel removal or adjustment instructions are provided along with this vehicle, cause the concept is new to every customer and tyrewalla. Where as we are spending Rs. 30, 000/- for this vehicle and getting a cheap chinese type of vehicle, this proves that the money we spent for this vehicle is not worth.

Even I got my insurance policy, just on 29th Jan 2007. Till today there is no bill provided by the same dealer, due to VAT issue. After sending emails to the company's email address mentioned on their site, no reply or even emails are bouncing back to us, even dealers can not answer for the queries, due to lack of knowledge for the same. Company mentioned email addresses are hr@induselectrans.com and info@induselectrans.com are not of any use, as if there is no mailbox only..**Corrections : ( On the basis o latest developement) After writing this review, on 15th of February 2007, I enquired to my

dealer at City Bikes, Thane, regarding any developement regarding the tyre complaint.And surprisingly, I heard that company had provided a new set of Big tyres and suspensions for the same vehicle but on new model of Yo Smart. So I insisted to put on the same on my vehicle. And he agreed for it.After a little bit of alteration, my Yo Smart is ready to ride the roads of the city. ( Vehicle rear tyre was replaced in a half cost of Rs. 200/- was paid to the dealer, Actual Cost - 400/-, as mentioned by the dealer.) Please check for new tyres if you are going for this byke.
