Reading the reviews made me very nostalgic guys. I owned a 1996 Yezdi road king until 2001, had to sell it before leaving the country.

I love its road grip breaking and power. A 16 BHP with ~4 secs from 0-60. I beat almost every vehicle (two or four wheeler in Bangalore). My friend had a Shogun (Suzuki) which was supposed to be a hot sporty bike, I beat him when I had a rider on my bike. I used to get 28 - 35 KMPL, luckily had a Yezdi specialist workshop opp my house. Its a little heavy, once you start it, you are on top of the world. I wish I could get hold of my bike one more time and cruise in Hyderabad.

I drove it up to speeds of 80-100 KMPH, felt a little increase in the engine noise. But the vehicle used to be very stable at those speeds too. I need to share one interesting experience. I left the bike in my office while I was on a 4 month trip to US. It faced rain and sun for that periods as the parking lot had no roof. I came back to see the bike was in a very bad shape. A little worried whether it would cost me a good money to fix it, I tried to start it. After a few kicks it started and I could ride it to the mechanic. The fix did not cost me too much. That guys just had to clear the carburettor of water.

I do not know much about other bikes, you can tilt the bike to get sharp turns and without reducing the speed much to negotiate turns. If the road is slippery you can get in to trouble.

I used to tinker with carburettor settings. There used to be a screw exposed, you turn it one side it gets more air and the otherside causes more petrol in the air/fuel mix. More air definitely used to result in Loss of Power and less air in loss of fuel efficiency, the power gain was good though.
