I live at Chandigarh & I own a 1993 Yezdi Deluxe Bike. I purchased it when I was in the college & YEZDI was almost obsolete. My Dad wanted me to go in for a Japanese Bike (100 CC) but I was adamant & we purchased it from the Agency for Rs 29885.00. I rode it from 1993 to 1998, then I joined the Indian Army & left it for my father to drive. In the year 2000, I was posted at Nashik & I took the Yezdi there. I was married then. From Nashik, I too the YEZDI to Shirdi (total about 200 Kms), Nashik to Bombay (total about 400 Kms) & Nashik to Daman & Diu (total about 425 Kms).
In the year 2003, I stopped riding it & the YEZDI got all rusted & became Scrap condition. In the year 2009, a Scrap dealer offered Rs 1000.00 for the YEZDI. My Mom told me that it was a good bargain & she insisted that I should sell it off. Much with enthusiasm, I searched for a mechanic of YEZDI, loaded it in a Rickshaw (with help of 04 persons) & spent an amount of Rs 20, 000.00 approx to restore it.On 08 July 2010, I purchased a 1972 JAWA in running condition too & presently, I am searching for its Tail Light. I will restore it to its Glory too.
